It's like the Krypt, the majority of stuff is amusing concepts, but some stuff (which is hard to find is really freaking cool. This is in the middle of amusing and cool

This is interesting but I would like to see cut ideas from older MK games, not stuff that's already in the Krypt.

I wouldn't mind another vampire, or even a vampire clan. But not based on this look. It plays up the stereotype far too much. He'd need a modern vampire appeal. Not wings and a gaudy costume. Good call on axing this one Ed.

When you said that, the first thing that popped into my mind was Vamp from MGS. He's got no wings, but you can still tell he's a vampire by the way he moves, dresses, and because he's got fangs sticking out from his mouth.

But still, that's a totally different game, and I don't think that if there were a vampire clan, that they'd make them all look somewhat similar to Vamp. Instead, they're going to stay with the more average looking type of vampire, the ones with giant wings, Gothic-like clothing...

Though, if they were to add another vampire character, or if Nitara is one of those lucky ones that stay, can they at least get a move to where they're flying? Because that really disappointed me in Deadly Alliance. Here you have this neat looking character, and she doesn't fly. The only thing that comes close to it, is her throw.

Mortal Kombat's version of a vampire is not the average. It's the extreme and the abnormal. Frankly, it's really only the "fight or flight" aspect of a vampires representation. It's the best part about fearing them....stuck in the form where they're juust about to bite or fight someone, constantly.

The only reason why that's a desirable look to begin with, is because it's a vampires most powerful, and vulnerable state. Particularly, it's mainly only Dracula and his closest maidens, or the extremely old and powerful vampires, who are closest in age to Dracula who can commonly protrude wings and so on (yes, there's a powers based hierarchy. Most of them can't do it because they're not capable. They can't even do it when they're mad, most of 'em). MK is pretty famous for picking out, and delivering only the "most exciting" aspects of things like that. So I'm not surprised, or aggravated about it.

Instead, I'd like them to juuust think about it for a second. "What was the scariest part about all the Vampire movies they've ever seen, and why? And I'd bet we all come to a similar conclusion.

"When the guy/girl turned IN-TO a vampire...." and bit the victim", or "grew these huge wings", or "the vampires started fighting". ect.

THAT? That's a fatality, or a special move concept. Not a whole character design concept. lol This sort of design is like saying "Vampires walk around pissed off, or really hungry every second of their appearance."

Not true, right? They always look like normal humans UN-TIL...haha..
I think MK got stuck on the Van Helsing books/movies or what have you. Because if you look back at most of the popular Vampire stuff, let's just go with movies, none of them do this sort of thing with vampires. Lost Boys, From Dust Til Dawn, Dracula (bram stoker's), Interview with the Vampire,...all the way up to current. Blade, Underworld, and now this new flick Twilight.

I'm looking for the element of surprise really, y'know?...Like most all iterations of vampires. I figure if it's gonna be an obvious vampire, why give it away like that? They have pale skin, some of 'em have the funny colored eyes, yes, they move and behave a certain way, ect. There's other "vampire stuff" that would help positively identify them. lol Wings...really?
