Multiple video previews for Mortal Kombat for the Playstation Vita have been rolled out in a coordinated reveal of new features! Gamespot had first blood on a hands-on tour of the game with NetherRealm Studios Producer and master of the much touted gameplay arts, Hector Sanchez!

IGN, Destructoid and PlayStation.Blog are giving the coming release more facetime with yet more promo demonstrations.

The handheld Komplete Edition version of the game adds new feature content, including a Test Your Balance mode that takes unique advantage of the accelerometer features of the handheld device. Sixteen additional costumes as alternates will be a popular new addition -- including outfits for the four DLC additional characters (Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain, Freddy Krueger), who are all included within the game!

Running at a console equivalent 60FPS (Frames Per Second); the "high fidelity" Vita experience has been spared no expense, with particular attention for recreating all the tropes that made Mortal Kombat a success on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a few added incentives. Previously confirmed touchscreen fatalities add new accessibility to the trademark finishing moves, inviting fans new and old to take a hands-on approach to the bloodiest aspects of the award winning fighter.

A refurbished Challenge Tower boasts 150 new challenges, with much requested new features like the chance to play as Shao Kahn -- which will unlock bonuses at regular intervals. Challenges include a variety of new innovations, including touchscreen attacks and mid-fight screen cleaning, for the blood soaked neatfreak. It's here that new costumes will be unlocked. New trophies and artwork bonuses have been added to Vita modes, as well.

Sony exclusive guest character, Kratos (God of War), will also return in the Vita version. Mortal Kombat arrives for the PlayStation Vita in Spring 2012. Gamespot have an unconfirmed release date of April 2nd. The Komplete Edition hits home consoles February 28 [full story].

Following a developing story; Gamespot report that digital copies of PS Vita games available for sale on the PlayStation Network will carry a reduced price. All Vita games are confirmed to be available for download. A Sony representative told Gamespot, "We can confirm that PS Vita games downloaded from the PS Store on PSN will carry a discount.
