We've never had the pleasure of meeting Brian Tee in person, but for all intents and purposes, he seems like a real swell guy! Whilst attending San Diego Comic Con for the Mortal Kombat: Legacy II live panel [full story], he helped keep Mortal Kombat Online [@MK_Online] in the loop via Twitter (@Brian_Tee).

Here are some of the snaps he shared live from the event [plus one from Ed]!

Audiences will see Tee soon as Noburo Mori in the long awaited big screen adaptation of Chris Claremont and Frank Miller's 1982 Marvel Comics mini-series: The Wolverine. Appearing as a corrupt Japanese Minister of Justice, he'll be competing for the affections of the woman Wolverine loves in the central story.

Again, we think Brian Tee seems downright nice, but corruption is a theme that will follow him into the dark reimagined world of Mortal Kombat: Legacy II.

The Japanese born actor will assume the role of Liu Kang: martial arts hero and traditional Shaolin champion of Mortal Kombat. It was a role he initially wasn't keen to take [full story], but has long since embraced.

As noted, this version of Liu Kang will be anything but traditional, reinventing the classic in complete reverse gear. The actor discussed the corrupt and conflicted new version during the Legacy convention panel [via Polygon].

"He has become this anti-hero and you don't know which side he's going to pick. It really goes into the character in-depth and the reasons why he is in this tormented state of mind."

Hosted by Machinima, the series will debut freely on YouTube in September. Get the full story on the live-action series in our Legacy II Kompendium. Find and discuss more in the Media & Merchandise forum.
