He survived Hell in a Well in Mortal Kombat 4, and defeated Mortal Kombat champion Prince Goro on film! Now Johnny Cage is cashing in on his stardom as the latest celebrity contender to invade the world of World Wrestling Entertainment!

Okay... So the video game icon won't exactly be following in the Summerslam footsteps of Arrow & Injustice star Stephen Amell - but he can still headline in the palm of your hand thanks to WWE Immortals!

The Mortal Kombat hero is a natural crossover for NetherRealm Studios' free-to-play WWE app. He's always been great on the mic, demonstrates tremendous workrate, and has the mainstream appeal necessary to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Now he just needs to overcome hyper-stylized versions of stars like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Batista, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins and conquering COO Triple H!

Johnny is one of the most iconic MK characters. You nailed it - Johnny doesn't wear a ninja mask or look like Batboy's older cousin, so he "doesn't fit" by those standards. God...this community.....smfh

Anyway - guest characters in MK? Still not a fan. But an MK character appearing in a wrasslin' game? Sign me the fuck up. This would make the first WWE product I've bought in over a decade.

Johnny is my favorite character. I find him to be one of the most unique, interesting and funny characters in the franchise. Oh and seriously, Johnny makes THE most sense to cross over with the WWE. I've always thought Johnny was a natural fit for pro wrestling. A rivalry with The Rock, The Miz or even Hollywood Hogan makes almost too much sense.

Cage strikes me as the kind of celebrity who would make guest appearances at wrestling PPV.

Also, Cage is one of the best and most iconic MK characters all of all time.

Great now this is the first step into hoping getting a wwe/mortal kombat crossover and I think in my opinion if Wwe gets Johnny cage for Wwe inmomortals then Mortal kombat should get the Undertaker as a dlc character in mk9

The character design in Immortals make me wish NRS would do a fighting game based on the concept... although I'm not sure I'd want them to do three fighting games.

Question for anyone that still plays the game, did they ever fix the glitch where one character would tag out and essentially cause a two on one situation? That fucking glitch made me delete this game.

Also, this game makes me want a sequel to WWE All Stars...such a fun game.

I know what you mean, but I think a few of them could make it. Undertaker or Kane with their WWE Immortals redesign would be nice. I can just picture the spine compressing and cracking after a Tombstone Piledriver X-Ray.
