MK2 and MK3 not actual arcade rom on MAT:EP

First you got MK1 which even that isn't actually the arcade version of the game.
Its like they went in to all three games and decided to cut stuff out for the psp.

Now I won't go into detail about all 3 games but I will say that they are the best hand held versions of the games.

It sucks cause their more like the ps2 versions of the game without their menus from that console.

Now I am not saying their ports of the arcade version but its like they ripped most of the information from the rom and cut what they thought would have slowed down the game or gameplay or both.

Somethings don't make sense like taking stuff out of the background on the tower stage.I'm sure if these games were made on their own disks these issues wouldn't be here.

Like the video bios in mk1 are missing and far as I can tell thats it.

In mk2 the video intro is missing and some stuff in the stages. The load times are ehh but I am playing on the psp slim so not sure the differences vs the fat one.

And mk3 everything is actually pretty much there far as I can tell.
other then load times its a great handheld version of the game. But what can ya do you know? So when you beat MK1 is just like the arcade with everyone jumping out of shang and you hear the names and then you see the ending and then the characters jump out and so on.So if you beat this in the arcade its exactly the same. However in MK2 when you beat that game its a little different. Sure you get Kahn turning into stone and exploding but if you remember just like in the arcade the screen flashes through a few stages while this is happening. Now every single time it goes to one stage during the ending the screen will blink and stops for a second to load the next frame/stage and it sucks but I guess you can look passed that. Now in MK3 when you beat the game its sorta the same thing happens. Right when you hit kahn for the final time the game will freeze and load the ending sequence and it does it in a sloppy way just like in MK2.Even during the ending the psp is trying to load everything so it sometimes skips over stuff to get back on track. So its not like the date isn't there cause it is its just the psp and the loading situation kinda ruins it. And unlike in mk1 where the characters jump out and theres no loading time during that. There is in both MK2 and MK3 so the ending is slowed down by loading time. Now I don't really know if this is actual rom based and just running on a emulator for mk2 and 3 so its hard to tell.Oh yea and one thing about accessing smoke in mk2 and how everything saids it can not be done.I am wondering if anyone has tried this.Press down and start when he pops out and i know you will get the menu that pops up but have you tried holding those buttons down and when the menu does pop up press X again to resume the game while still holding down and start.I haven't done it but will try later but if anyone else has let me know.

Those versions of the old games weren't developed by Midway,it was another company in charge of MAT development.

RE: MK2 and MK3 not actual arcade rom on MAT:EP

regardless these are the best ports of MK 1 and MK 2 out there today and hell its portable. Well actually I would say the console MAT ports are better but for the PSP these are pretty damn good.
