I had no idea about this but if you are a HUGE fan of the show then this will sure make you smile.

I am pretty excited cause I have been waiting for something new with this ever since the show ended about 2 decades ago, god I feel so old lol.

Now if they could only do another BTTF and Gremlins movie I would be so happy.

There was a guy tryin' to get the rights to Gremlins but from what I understand the deal was halted for a while then just dropped. He did a fan vid and it was AWESOME. Spent a lot of time on the puppets too, then mashed them in with other movies. It was a satallite/digicable version of in the second movie when they take over the theater or alter the vhs tape.
