Only requesting a single player Gameplay Option for this great feature.

At least for ladders.

Tournament Mode is unavailable without cooperation from another, Please add an option for this Fatality feature in single player.

It can go right under Subtitles.


Hopefully version 1.01 can fix this, But... It really is a terrible shame, This blackening of beautifully rendered backgrounds during Fatalities. No other MK game I've ever played EVER, Has entirely blacked out the backgrounds like this one. I don't even enjoy them nearly as much anymore, There becoming monotonous. No matter which one of the 30 levels, Or no matter where I'm standing when I do one on a level... They always look the same.

Then there's the Tournament Mode Kombat Kode 111-111, Which allows you to view more but... It's not available in ladders? And good luck online, Hoping some random will type in the second half of the Kombat Kode.

At least a menu option for the 111-111 Fatality look, Should be an obvious inclusion in the Gameplay Options section. Can't even enjoy this Tournament Mode only feature during ladder matches. Kinda backwards how the inferior looking Fatalities are the standard, The blackouts make each Fatality and Babality look the same on practically every level, And regardless of location in level?

The mathematical amount of variety this would add to gameplay is incredible. Instead of having one look period... Each single Fatality would have hundreds of looks. The Fatalities always have a different background on any single level, Depending on where you and your opponent end up at the end of each match. Hundreds of looks for each Fatality, Do the math.

If NRS really wants to impress... Allow a new school menu option, Or Kombat Kode at least, ( Preferably just standardize It. ) To allow FULL backgrounds during fatalities.

If any users have not tried the 111-111 Tournament mode, Check out the Fatalities, And especially the FULL background Babalities. They look amazing, But you can only access this feature with another's cooperation.

Please NRS consider a simple update for Version 1.01. After seeing even the Tournament Mode fatalities, The standard ones just seem broken now, And definitely inferior.

Of course NRS can silly, It exists in game. And there's a section for Gameplay options...

It can go right under....

Subtitles- On or Off

Fatality backgrounds- On or Off confused

However, I do feel like NRS should patch this so it can have a menu option! I want to be able to play MK with Rainbow blood WITHOUT having to input a stupid kode.

Easily corrected once we get a working PS3 and XB360 emulator running on PC.

I honestly don't understand the problem, they black it out to make what's happening in front of you stand out more.


So what if you cant see the same stage you've been looking at for like 3 rounds.

REALLLYYY!?!?!??!?! WHO CAAAAAAARESSSS?! I'm pretty sure most people aren't looking at the backgrounds (that they just spent 2 rounds looking at already, mind you) during a fatality. They're not really the main focus at the point, ya know?

I don't think it should COMPLETELY black out, but just slightly dim like the original MK games.

It definitely bothers me when the whole arena disappears. I never got why they do that.

I do pay quite allot of attention to the Fatality. So much, That I enjoy telling my friends I'm going to kill them right in front of Skarlet in Kahn's coliseum, And make her watch.

Or to laugh when the monks clap in The Courtyard after splitting someone's wig with Kitana.

Maybe I wanna see if I could kick someone from here to the bench on The Subway after I rip there arms off with Sheeva.

When you see the souls airborne in The graveyard with head in hand standing by the tombstones, It's awesome.

All this is present in 111-111, Try it and tell me it's not way sicker looking.

Maybe in the story mode when Ermac ripped Jax's arms off, They should of blacked out the background.

Or through Sindel's entire onslaught.

Actually, I think they should start blacking out backgrounds for all climax scenes in all games.... Think about how cool it looks in MK.

Story or not, it is a fight regardless. And both cinematics... regardless. They are not different at all.

I would like to know why they went this way though, was it so we would focus the brutality of the fatality instead of seeing a giant getting gunned down by marines in a collapsing city street with cars zooming past a bridge where boats are speeding away from flying dragons spewing fire as gunshots ring out between to buildings behind them?
What could possibly be so distracting about that?

Haha, but I do think fatalities look much nicer with the backgrounds that they took place in. It just makes them seem like they teleported to a blackhole to leave the remains because it's too messy for the realms.

I don't play online to enjoy a fatality.

I go online to face other people.....and get more character uses for Stryker.


Although...I have the PS3 version....

Are you kidding me Insider, C'mon. I play to win as well. Right now, Until a fix... The connection between me and anyone one on my friends list is unplayable to the point where out of the 27 people on my list who got it, 4 are on today. Everyone's on thats Gears thing.

Was just asking for an option as simple a subtitles. Can't believe anyone would disagree.

Go try the code 111-111 with a Babality, And then.... Tell me your opinion.
Although you'll probably have to do it locally, Unless someone you know is online.

Not trying to argue here.

Who gives a shit honestly? They darkened the backgrounds in every game save for MK4.
