Thanks for the comments. I appreciate any feedback even if you are not voting for my entry hehe ;) I just wanted to point out something that I didn't notice before and maybe people get it confused. Actually Ameerah "is" her own entity and didn't actually possess her daughter's body. She used it to reenter the real world after she gained back her powers. I didn't make that clear in her bio perhaps but I thought the fact that in her ending she comes in contact with Jade, it shows that she has a body of her own :P She "can" possess a body in her sand form as you can tell by her story and 1st fatality but she has a real body of course. Maybe I should have made that more clear.

In my earlier review of Ameerah I pointed out an apparent flaw that seemed to break the rules of this contest. Namely, I accused her of not being an original character because she's directly based on an in-game character. But having talked with projectzero00 about it, it turns out that Ameerah is perfectly fine with the judges because the character she's based on isn't yet confirmed canon.

So apologies to projectzero00 for the trouble, and thank goodness I no longer feel the need to vote against Ameerah on a technicality when she otherwise deserves a win.

If the creator is asserting that this is inseparably the existing character in question, then we're going to have no choice but to disqualify the entry and correct all corresponding results (to default defeats). If this is merely an homage or similar but independent creation (as was the impression taken when allowing the character into the contest), then there's not a lot we can object to. That would come under referencing species, realms and affiliations.

Having spoken to projectzero00, my impression was that this was an independent creation with some similarity. It's a grey area when it pertains to characters who are ill defined, but that's where the judgment of voting users and judges comes into effect. It isn't a breach to the letter, but it's certainly a valid criticism.
