Mezco Preview Expanded Mortal Kombat X Line at Toy Fair

Mezco Toyz impressed in New York late last year with the unveiling of their new Mortal Kombat X action figures [full story]. The toymaker shined, showing exactly what they could bring to a new era of MK collectibles. They were back in NYC this weekend for Toy Fair, where Figures.com reported a massively expanded line.

Joining perennial favorites Scorpion, Sub-Zero & Raiden in the standard 6" line are a second wave of confirmed characters: Kotal Kahn, Quan Chi & Kitana! Like the figures before them, each preview shows off a greater level of detail than previous series - right down to the ornate carvings of Kitana's jewellery and Quan Chi's chest skull!

Note: The original trio of Scorpion, Sub-Zero & Raiden will now also make-up a scaled down series of 4" action figures baring similar sculpts at a reduced size. September 2015 will also see the arrival of 12" super-sized Scorpion & Sub-Zero dolls. Mezco reportedly aim to fill each variant line with the full Mortal Kombat X roster.

Expanding the line into even further realms are a series of super-deformed variations on Scorpion & Sub-Zero. Bobbleheads bring the highly detailed MKX designs to life with a wink and literal nod. Simplified versions coming in plush and Mini Mez-Itz formats - the latter standing just 2" high!

I'll buy them all I just hope that Scorpions(3 different action figures) Right hand and Sub-Zero's left foot kept falling off my MK9 one.

You know I didn't notice at first, but now that you mention it, something about the toy was looking better to me in the back of my mind, but I thought it was my imagination.

But yeah, her lower leggings/boots especially... they don't look like grey-beige pantaloon thingies your grandma might have worn 65 years ago in this color.

Those MK X figures look like they have much better quality.

The two thins that are little bit off to me are Quan-Chi's and Sub-Zero's faces.
Quan-Chis face is just weird. In case of Sub-Zero, the eyes are not painted that well. But I guess it will be a little bit different for individual figures.

Kitana looks stupid, even more so in figure form. I've been warming up to KK a bit, though, thanks to the comic.

I can't wait for these. Jazwares sucked but it looks like Mezco is headed in the right direction for sure.

Mezco made my favorite 3.75" scale figures ever (Hellboy II) so I am hoping they duplicate that quality with these

Kotal and Kitana look perfect, amazing figures. Quan Chi's near perfect, his face looks bad. Definitely buying a few of these if the price is right.

The bobbleheads are a hint to a game mode. Bringing back puzzle kombat? Or king of the hill probably.

The thing that looks off the most to me are Quan Chi's legs. As soon as I looked at his figure, I was like wtf?!

Kotal and Kitana look great, just wish Kitana's eyes weren't blue.

The bobble heads are not a hint to a game mode. There just toys lol. I'm so glad we have more. I just hope it doesnt stop at 6. I want the whole roster. Especially Goro

The action figures are amazing! Miles ahead of the Raiden, Sub-Zero, and Scorpion line. Quan Chi's pants look a little strange, but still a great figure. YAY for KOTAL KAHN!

And it's about fucking time MK rolled out some current bobble-heads. I check out all of them every time I go into a Movie/Gamestop.

Stoked.

Awesome! Finally, a good company has the MK license. This line should be meant for adults, so I'm glad Jazwares hit the road😉
I really hope Mezco makes some Classic characters. These new characters aren't quite worthy of me buying a figure of them just yet. I'd really like to see a 1:12 collective of Shao Kahn!

If only that was actually how Kitana's costume looked in-game. NRS is obsessed with a Gears of War muted color palette for most characters. It would be nice to see some vibrant colors on the costume instead of dull, dirty, dusty looking outfits.

Cool figures, boring-as-hell selection of characters save for Kahn.

Interestingly enough, a Quan Chi figure was supposed to have come out in 2012 but was never produced.
