Not unusual for corrections to make it into collections/reprints.

When they get to the Twitter questions part of the Kast I hope some one asks..... "Shawn, you wrote a story and used characters far more interesting than the actual game itself, how does that make you feel?" And then follow it up with "How soon in the process did you realize that the characters and story you were using were going to be much better than the game?" And then they finish with.. "Shawn, have they asked you to write the next Mortal Kombat game yet?"

Yeah, while I'm hoping they'll bring up the fact that the comic and the game aren't even remotely related in terms of the story, I doubt they'll ask such a "controversial" or "difficult" question...especially since it's with the NRS team themselves - they won't even address the inconsistencies, period.

Infact the only questions they will probably answer are the ones that will enable them to pat themselves on the back afterwards.

I already have it set in my mind that Kittelsen NEEDS to be involved in MK11. Have him and Vogel write the drafts for story mode and have Vogel oversee everything and be in charge of making sure the characters and the overall mythology stick to whats come before and what they had planned. When Vogel put his mind to it, he created some great shit in the 3D era. I think having to go back and rehash shit is what put him off his game. No writer likes re-telling a story that's already been told. You could see some of that cool stuff shining through at times in MKX. I think he needs a swift kick to get re-energized. Maybe having a talented writing partner in the form of Kittelsen would do that.

They never said it would. They said the story would take place in the middle of the 25 years span of MKX and would allow us to learn more about the characters. We assumed the comic's story would lead to MKX but it turns out it wasn't the case. Maybe they should have been more clear to avoid false hopes of Reiko and Havik.



People tend to blame Vogel for everything story wise since he took over after Tobias' departure, but there was 4 persons working on the MKX story.

I just have to say this, anybody expecting them to explain anything then you are mistaken... VERY mistaken.

They don't give a shit about their story, Ed boon himself just keeps saying to everybody to not take the story seriously, so one of the creators himself thinks the story is stupidly ridiculous and he doesn't take it seriously.

I know it's just a game but someone can get invested in fictional stories and can care for characters but when they don't give a shit about their story, you start losing interest. MKX had one of the dumbest stories out there, I'm not even joking. The comics have little to nothing to do with the game's story and there are even inconsistencies between them.

I'll tell you this, they'll answer what makes them look good and avoid what makes them look bad or what needs actual explaining, they won't pick good questions, they will be questions that will benefit them.

So all and all, I'm not that excited about this stream. Hoping Jason shows up because that's the only thing that'll get me excited, I don't want to see a bunch of people stroking their ego on camera.

But... you know why they do that right?

We also now know DLC will be going through at least July thanks to Derek. He said he'd probably be still working on DLC by Comic-Con which is the 9'th through the 12'th. Hoping that means more than 4 characters.

Didn't the writers confirm he was supposed to show up with Jax in the Netherrealm? But for whatever reason it made the cutting room floor. Fujin ain't going anywhere.
