A forgotten warrior from a past tournament returns! Chameleon is a mysterious masked warrior with translucent skin and an arsenal of reptilian powers. He has been ever-present throughout past tournaments, watching unseen from the wings. Sub-Zero is Kuai Liang - a Lin Kuei warrior with icey pale skin and a past mastery of many different powers, cryomancer, cyborg and revenant! Both warriors have fought with many techniques, but only one can continue as Round 1 concludes! Who will it be? Choose their destiny!... FIGHT!

Post Fight Edit: Interesting note for anyone curious: Based on the current Supreme ranking system (2012-2014), Chameleon is ranked #34 (out of 68). He was omitted from last year's tournament after making the Second Round in 2013.

Dairou, Meat and Mokap didnt make the cut either.

I wonder hwo it is decided who doesnt make the cut now that we have more than 64 characters in the series.

I voted Sub Zero today.

Some of these second round matches could be interesting.

I think Kira and Hotaru are cool and would love to see them again, but there's no way any of those who didn't make it would have won.

And I voted Subby. While I still believe his primary costume in MKX is horrible, he still has had many great designs, some of the best stories of MK history, a klassic style of gameplay that has only gotten better, arguably the best development of character within the series, and he still has much to offer in the Grandmaster role.

Chameleon is MK1 Reptile/Ninja Shujinko.

Chameleon is awesome in Mortal Kombat Trilogy and Mortal Kombat Armageddon. But Sub-Zero been in almost every Mortal Kombat game. So I voted for him.

The kombat kode 444-444 can morph like you but in every character not just ninjas, the kombat kode is better than you.

Oh, and Taven, Daegon, Hsu Hao, Ashrah, Shujinko, Kobra, Jarek, Tremor, Chame-Khameleon, Tasia, Frost and Mavado SUCK !!

I would have loved it if Hotaru would have made it in. I know he wouldn't win, but just to know that one of my favs of the 3d era was considered and included. Oh well, hopefully I'll see him in the komics.

I voted for the Lin Kuei king btw.

I've always been indifferent towards Sub-Zero (more specifically Liang). Maybe because I've always liked Scorpion more. Nevertheless I voted for Sub anyways because Chameleon is just whatever to me that much more. He looked pretty cool in Armageddon though.

I like Kintaro, Drah, Sheeva and Kira. I'd love to see all again playable, mainly Kira, I love her visual and attitude, she's cool!!

And this round I'll go with Sub zero!
