"[It's] been a while since we've had a Kombat Kast." So it was written, so It shall be! NetherRealm Studios will gear up for a return to streams Monday, August 31st via Twitch!

We last heard from the developer for July's release of Tremor. The official reason for the next stream is to break down new Mortal Kombat X patch notes, but with speculation decisively targeted at new DLC, the always epoch-making Ed Boon has teased "news & klues" as well. With a K!

The Creative Director may have merely been talking around Alien rumors of late, but he's flat-out guaranteeing a reason to "rejoice" for Jacqui Briggs players come the next patch!

Will Kombat Pack sequel hopefuls be in luck? All signs point toward more DLC, but to date, no NetherRealm game has formally bundled DLC extensions into a second package. WB will never give away free characters. The amount of time, money and effort that goes into making the characters, paying the voice over artists and play testing the hell out of them before release, on top of the fact that with every additional character added to the roster there is more work put into balancing the roster in future patches.

Yep. The only feasible way I could see NRS ever, and I mean ever, giving away a character is if a lot of work went into someone who got cut at last minute and didn't make the game or its initial run of DLC. Then, only then, would they maybe consider to not waste the work and to thank fans for purchasing DLC.

Even that, though, is a shot in the dark.

The changes must be somewhat significant for them to be holding a Kast about it. I am not thinking they will touch on future DLC - I know they are. They aren't going to have a kast JUST to discuss patch notes no matter how significant they are. There's more in store.

My boy Jason could use a few things IMO

Unstoppable meter eater needs to be optional and controlled, so if I have full meter I can choose to save it instead of wasting it for a small bit of health. (I don't play this variation anyway so it doesn't matter but still, that's dumb.)

Slasher could use an overhead starter, A faster poke, faster start up on overhead kick...and add Lake Mist ;)

Well, Ermac players have complained about Spectral a lot. It looks like they're going to buff it as well, there was a hint about it on twitter. I agree that Ethereal shouldn't be revamped, but it could use some buffs. Complaining about one variation is fine if it's reasonable.

It's one thing to say something can use a buff it's another to say scrap the whole idea and give us something knew.

The ethereal variation is absolutely one of the worst variations in the game. Scrap the idea? NO, but absolutely add something to it to make playing it worthwhile.

Worthwhile would literally require a complete overhaul.

No it's not. I seen it played perfectly fine. It's about playing with your enemy and predicting them and catching them out. U can pressure your enemy non stop. I could probably beat u with it. They should just make mileena teleport hit high.

Okay.

I said the variation was one of the worst in the game. It adds nothing but a silly teleport, which was implemented in a far less effective way than Tanya's. I'd love to watch you play online with it, as I've never encountered anyone to do so.

Nonetheless you may like it, I just find her other two variations significantly more useful than that one. It really is the same case as all the other characters who got stuck with an extra shitty variation.

Really cus I thought it also phased her in and out. If u don't believe me, play me and see for yourself. U only ever see one variation of Sonya but that doesn't mean the others are crap.

They better announce something relating to KP2. I'm fairly certain Fujin is a lock at this point. And it's not just because there's a thunderstorm in my area currently and the wind's howling. lol

Before it was buffed Ethereal was really bad.

After the buff it has a lot of potential just check out Yomi Saltface in his matches with other Yomi players.

And I actually use Piercing and Ethereal more than Ravenous. I've pulled off more wins with Ethereal Mileena than i deserve (while I struggle with Reptile) simply because of her EXFade catching people playing on autopilot and just inputting strings they think I'm going to stand there and take.

Her only issue (aside from combos that dont do as much damage) is that she needs to build lots of meter for her EX fades and rolls but there are a couple combos after a normal roll where she can do exactly that and then fade back for some more bits of meter building or fade forward to bait out their wakeup.

To be honest I dont even think Mileena needs anything. Sure I'd like to see her f3 improved but she doesn't necessarily need it.

He using her in tournament and is doing pretty well. Think he is top 8

That would be too powerful just make her to kick hit high. Also that will never happen.
