There are missing characters.

MK11 needs to be a more fresh and newer roster than what we got in MKX. Funny thing is that Boon did say there would be more newer fighters than returning ones in MKX, yet counting returning fighters side of the roster is still larger. The only fighters that should return are at least the fighters from MK1 only.

Both Ashra and Nitara need to make a return.They would be excellent to further the story. Ashra was apart of Quan Chi's coven,which she later started killing other demons,and Nitara tries to kill Shao Khan or whoever the main enemy of her realm is.She was evil also but she knew if Earthrealm was taken over that her realm was next.I think she came from the chaos realm.

A fully reptilian Khameleon.

Pretty much every other gals, though Frost's the one I want least, unless they seriously differentiate her from Sub-Zero.

Freaks such as the Oni (both Drahmin and Moloch), Havik, Motaro, Baraka and one of Shinnok's demons. I'd put Blaze in that category as well. If I really could only choose one though, I'd pick Drahmin, though he'd feel a little lacking without Moloch around in some capacity.

Ferra/Torr, or *SPOILERS* Ferra as the mount paired up with a new rider.

Human or human-looking male characters. Among my most wanted ones would be Stryker, Darrius, Hotaru, Dairou, Hsu Hao, Mavado, Daegon, Nightwolf, Kabal, Smoke, the Cyborgs (Sektor and Cyrax, not Smoke and Sub-Zero, more on that below), Mokap, Kung Jin, Erron Black, Shang Tsung, Johnny Cage and Bo Rai Cho.

Victims: Kobra, Scorpion, Jax, Chameleon, and Kotal Kahn.

Anyone not aforementioned would just be alright with me, with the exception of Fujin. As he is right now, he's neither someone I'm hugely fond of nor someone I dislike him enough to enjoy killing like Kobra, so he'd be wasting space imo unless he was considerably improved.

To conclude, I think that the robotic versions of Smoke and Sub-Zero, if we see them again, should be alts with minimally altered animations, or variants like in MKX, instead of taking separate spots from their regular selves.

How could i forget Undead General?? He could show up as a skin for Li Mei if not a fully fleshed out character. The same could be true of a lot of 'background' characters. i.e. Shirai Ryu grunt = alt skin for Scorp; Lin Kuei grunt = alt skin for SZ etc.

I think that's a pretty good balance of Trilogy, 3D era and WB era characters. I also think 3 new characters is a solid number after the near overdose we got in MKX.

I'd like to see Emperor Liu Kang and Empress Kitana as the sub boss and sub-sub boss with a brand new main boss.

Nothing adventurous for MK11 but certainly after (if there will be another MK).

6 random fights per character and when a chosen fighter finishes their quest a 2nd costume would be available for other modes. Modern, 3D digitized arenas (shaped in different layout with breakable objects) and characters would be refreshing. I guess this is the last time i'd like to see these fighters and I'd see MK11 as a farewell to the classics. MK after this would be better off if many of the newer fighters were reintroduced, as these selected fighters get really stale.

Well, there are several factors to take into account. Lets argue that NRS once again top themselves in terms of playable base characters after Injustice 2 so lets say 30 characters. Then lets also take into account that the last few MK rosters to feature new characters usually have around 8 of them so;

I like the idea of MK11 being a re-telling of the story of MK Deadly Alliance, hence there are no characters from MK Deception or MK Armaggedon in my list. It would be almost the same, except this time Liu Kang and Kitana, in their revenant forms, would be the final bosses and you would have to fight them both at the same time. I think that would make for a great boss battle. There are so many interesting gameplay mechanics that could come into play here. After you defeat them, they are liberated from Quan Chi's spell and are back to their normal selves.
