Mortal Kombat Coming to Netflix

Feeling in the mood for a little Mortal Kombat but you broke your thumbs in a particularly vigorous thumb war? Want to watch the now-classic movie, but you smashed your DVD player getting revenge for the aforementioned injury to your digits? Fret not! Mortal Kombat (the movie) is joining the streaming line-up on Netflix next month!

PLAYLIST
- Mortal Kombat Theatrical Trailer
- Paul Anderson on Adapting MK
- MK Movie Soundtrack Commercial
- Federation of Martial Arts Intro
- Defenders of the Realm TV Spot
- MKII Home Release Commercial

Not a hoax! Not a dream! Not an imaginary story! Paul W. Anderson's martial arts opus will be bellowing "MORTAL KOMBAT!" into living rooms across America starting April 1st!

Still considered by many to be among the best video game movie adaptations; 1995's Mortal Kombat tells the story of Liu Kang (Robin Shou), Sonya Blade (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras), and Johnny Cage (Linden Ashby) as they travel to Shang Tsung's island to contest a martial arts tournament that will decide the fate of the world!

Remembered for its techno soundtrack, unique visual aesthetic, fight choreography, and charismatic performances, the film has always been fondly regarded by die hard fans, and neophytes alike. It spawned a less successful 1997 sequel (Mortal Kombat: Annihilation), as well as an expanded shared universe in TV's live-action Mortal Kombat: Conquest, animated Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm, and online in the serial webseries Federation of Martial Arts!

It'd be nice if Conquest showed up as well, I never finished that series.
