No sign of it in the trailer and I think it’s a good thing. Seeing Scorpion jam his spear in his face and then drive the spear in with a kick showing all that blood looked a lot better than the xrays. What are your thoughts on this

They won't be missed much by me. It was a cool little gimmick but it's nothing that's integral to my enjoyment of these games.
I wouldn't mind if they keep some of the brutal slow motion like in the trailer.

They were ok. Wont miss them.
I really hope so, they are cheap ways to win and took away any speed and flow to a game that was already filled with animation issues. They are 100% in though, at least the combo as such, but hope that this time the actual X-ray part is gone. Doesn't add a damn thing to see the actual bones break. Time to change things up.

They are still there. And most likely with the same mechanics. Only now we will not see the internal part of the blow but the special blow will afflict the outside. They should change their name.
What do you think it will be?

Indeed. Hopefully leaks turn out true and there are two “tournament” variations and the 3rd custom variation will be relegated to casual matches online.
I love what scorpion did to raiden in this game. it was more super than xray but more brutal to me. I would love to see the variations system gone and just really flesh out characters a tad more than take moves away to add to another variation. that got annoying for me big time in mkx. like mileena low sai throw in piercing but not in ravenous and some moves in ravenous weren't in piercing. bleh

I believe X-Ray moves are still in and that was Scorpion's X-Ray where he kicks Raiden by pulling him in with his spear. From the video it looks like Bonebreakers from MK4 as well as weapons for each fighter might have returned.
Raiden's Bonebreaker is the finger snap thing and he has a newer looking staff.

For some reason, I thought Raiden snapping Scorpion's finger was some kind of x-ray tease.

There you go, finding a hidden advantage in an unfortunate circumstance; using pain to take you to the next level. Those are the things that turn players into kings.

this was just trailer one guys . im possitive x-rays will be staying we have what 4 months till release
Hm... as time goes by i am not so sure X-Rays are in the way it was in MK9 and MKX. I think that the counter Attack is now shown in X-Ray and named "krushing blow". And if you have your meter bar full you can start a super move. I would really like it this way.

I think we're drawing too many conclusions from one little trailer.

Just remove the variations, x-rays might be gone but the super meter won’t be... so yeah something new is always interesting. But remove the variations!!! That should stay in MKX. It’s what made that game special, and it will always be special.
Don’t burn it out, ya feel me...
Ps. It feels good to be back, everyone. kinda really excited here. Lol
