MK1 Remake Concept - Reptile
As part of the MK1 Remake Concept - Johnny Cage series.
Author Comments:Submission Information:
I like his MKSM look best, but wanted to show he's camoflaging himself to look more human at this point. The costume is UMK3 style because every ninja in that game was a member of Kahn's army, so I reason it's his military's uniform. The original shinguards, though, had a sort of skull nose and teeth motif which I associate exclusively with Scorpion, so I gave him the MK2 shinguards. The background is dark and misty as reference to the Living Forest, and the image in his name is just a lizard eye.

Fantastic! Like all your others, it looks simply wonderful. I normally don't like cartoony sorts of drawings, but yours are great! I like the look you gave him, with the camo effect of him trying to look human.

I like everything but the feet. They seem way too big for some reason. Other than that, i think its awesome.

His feet were awful big in Shaolin Monks too, as I recall. That's why I didn't put him in shoes, there's none that would fit those weird, clawed things.

I dunno...I was thinking about giving him the belt buckle, but if I left it off to make his costume closer to Scorpion and Sub-Zero's since they don't have ones either. Maybe in his MK2, 3, or 4 costumes...

Sure, I guess...I just dunno how you would cut it from the rest of the image since it fades into the background...

You've had a decent crack at this but you haven't got everything right. You should have made his abdomen and arm's green otherwise you should have just done Reptile pallette swap.

Now that what you should have made his colour if you wanted the pallette swap. But if you didn't you should have made him all green like this.

Not a bad effort 3/5

I don't know where you got the impression I was trying to DIRECTLY translate the UMK3 costume, since you can see right there in the picture, what I was doing was modifying it.
