The road to an HD remaster of the original Mortal Kombat has been long & winding. There have been multiple false starts, but from an enthusiastic search for a final destination has come a bold detour: Eyeballistic Inc. With a 30th Anniversary on MK's horizon, the determined developer has asked fans to join them on their continued odyssey toward a finished product. Read on:

How do they come up with all those fatalities? It's the question that's been puzzled by interviewers for longer than we remember. We've seen concept sketches and motion capture in the past. Now Ed Boon has revealed some of his original 2010 notes for an iconic stage fatality. Take a look:

The imminent expansion of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will bring back klassic fighters and arenas as downloadable content, but one of the throwback stages is actually something brand new. The Retrocade is a slice of the 2D Klassic era projected on a contemporary stage. Take a closer look:

UK magazine PocketGamer has released word that Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 will be released for Java-enabled mobile phones. it's apparent that a scoring system – not used since the original Mortal Kombat I – will be making its return. Check out the screenshots: The developer is listed as Electronic Arts Mobile and not Warner Bros. The article mentions that the release date is (approximately) December 1, 2010 and that they will be posting their review of the game shortly. No word as of yet whether this confirms a release in North America, or whether this port will include Puzzle Kombat (as the Nintendo DS port did) or any other extras. GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley has confirmed Jax as well as The Subway for the upcoming Mortal Kombat! The show premiered early Friday morning and featured the usual gameplay montage present with press events, only this one featured several minutes of gameplay with Jax.

There has been a definite drought of information regarding Mortal Kombat: Armageddon recently; however, our friends over at Midway know that interest in new information is strong. To that end, to give us a bit of a teaser as to what to expect, they've released to us seven exclusive load screen images! These loading screen images features grudge matches made popular in the games (and one from the movies!); they show Johnny Cage and Goro, Cyrax and Sektor, Kitana and Mileena, Reiko and Shao Kahn, two images of Sub-Zero and Scorpion, and Liu Kang (in zombie form) and Shang Tsung!
