Wow, you actually need 2-players to pass through an area. It's times like these that I wished I had friends. But wow, I'm glad you guys actually check these forums. (P.S, please check out my Mk7 story).
Thanks guys, and best of luck with the game.gringrin

Shaun... You are a godsend brother.

OK, lemme jus get some things off my chest...

Go Shaun
Go Eddy Boy
Go Midway
Go Paradox
Go Packers...

ok ok ...

I like the idea of Ko Op in this kind of game... like you said something that has never been done before! I guess i really wont know the anger i will be going through when playing the game by myself and here raiden say "You need an Ally!" or something more intertaining like "By the gods, call a friend or something cheepo!" yes that would be intertaining.

This game is what Mortal Kombat franchise has needed... and i rather have 8 fucken awsome characters then 12 or 15 characters that cant pinch there own ass compared to the storyline 4. But whats an MK game withouts its secrets.... maybe there are more???

haha maybe not. SHaun you should definitly get MSN so we can talk....well CHEERS!

Oh and Shaun... when all the pressure of this game goes away you should check out some demo runs of my MKRPG... dont worry its totally free so im not like infringing any copyrights, well get back man you rock,

Interesting stuff Shaun. I was wondering how many stages are there altogether..unless that's top secret. wink I hope there'll be a lot of them.

Im wondering like, can you skip over a secret and then come back to it later when like friends are over or my brother decided to take a vacation from college?

I like the demo alot. Not having an A.L. in VS is disappointing, but I don't care I'll play single mode just because I love MK so much!

BTW this is pure speculation, but Ill bet in KO-OP mode you can fight human smoke!

ah, the whole "need a friend" to unlock stuff deal. I'm not a fan of that... not at all. I'll manage to get someone to play with me tho... someday at sometime. Maybe once.

Anyway... QUESTIONS:
1. Only way to unlock reptile is thru ko-op... the only way? Or are there CODES you can punch in and access him (thus not having to hassle thru ko-op). My main question is... will there be codes at all. Maybe a big head code... anything? Hmm... maybe I shouldn't ask... that would only ruin the surprise.
2. Could you explain to me why game companies don't finish things in games? I don't wanna seem like a jerk by no means.. just curious. In this situation, why won't 1 player versus mode be in the game? Is it because you need to release the game and get money... would it be too complicated... do you just have to stop at one point... because you don't want to work on it forever... or what?

Thanks for answering... and I'm looking very forward to playing YOUR game.

Once again MK could have done a great game.
The game will be blame for it'S lake of "One player' option.

They can't force people to get people.
I really don't like it.

I'll play it.
But once again, it'll leave a sad taste. And Saun knda get coky about the whole "TOOT BAD FOR YOU' I LIKE IT... You do games for the fan, not only for yourself. We the fan make the franchise live.

Shaun i respect u and i think u r kool.
But MAN TELL booN to make 4 player VS on one screen mode in MK 7 plzzzzz.
And multiple fatalities (team fata.) 10x do.Ah i almost forgot, give my regards to booN.Ah and also Noob defenatly should come back (alone) tell him that also. And last: can we actually play ko-op mode with the same fighters?like u said Kung and Kung or Liu and Liu ? Cuz Some liu kang haters like me and my bro dont want to play as him im sure there are tons of others who actually hate him even more lol.

I'm loving this game, but I really HATE having to do Ko-Op to get some secrets. If the mode was THAT appealing, it wouldn't need to force someone into it. That's the truth.

Good point Axeman.

yeah, i agree, "forcing" co-op isnt a nice thing. I dont have nothing agains playing with someone, actually i love multiplayer stuff, in the past i loved going to the arcades and so on.
But it isnt cool to "force" someone to have a friend, who loves MK, just to unlock secrets. But whatever, lets see how it turns out.

whats the point of adding an amazing fully funciotanable never been done before in this genre Ko_Op if everyone isnt going to play it?? I think its way kool to do the multiplayer secrets, the one thing i dont like is that you come across a puzzle and you think you are gunna do it when Raiden says no you cant... It would of been way cool to have it where you can only access a point of the stage by having two people playing....

Anywho, i know this game will be excellent. And shaun please tell Eddy Boy that you guys should have a fan poll to get an idea of a good roster for MK7... UNless its going to be a MK 7ology, or MK:Ultimate Deception or something

Has anyone noticed that the "non-A.I." reference was only towards Versus Mode? There's still a slim chance that Ko-Op could have a human/A.I. combination... but then again, I guess we just have to wait until confirmation from SH. Either way, I'm not going to let this detract from the gaming experience... and if there is no A.I. ability for the second player in Ko-Op, well, I'll just drag one of my friends over!

I'd have to side with Shuan on this one. The Ko-op mode, for those who have played it for a long time is very rewarding. Just find yourself a friend. The game is so much more enjoyable when playing with someone. Personally, I think it would be fine just as a two player game. Don't have any friends? Make some. It'll be worth it! smile

Nah. Shawn clearly indicated that there wasn't any AI in at that moment. Otherwise that Zucker guy wouldn't have had to "drag someone into his office" to play it with him.

Also...

Ekule Wrote:

Because everyone doesn't care about playing it. Yes, Ko-Op takes a bit of work to pull off, and yes, it's "Kool" that they're doing it, but most people play games by themselves plain and simple. That's the exact reason the Single player experience is getting expanded on in all game genres even as we type.
If Ko-Op is good, it will shine and be a good experience and all that good stuff, but don't force it even if it's certain the game is so much better with two players. Once again I repeat: If Ko-Op is so good, it wouldn't need to be forced at all. All 2-player modes, no matter how fun the game gets with another person, shouldn't be obligatory because it takes away from the single-player experience.

ye i hate the no A.I. stuff i ́m only buying this game because of the pre-order action figures because if it didn ́t come with that i would dowload it and burn it on a dvd-r. and what about that shit about playing "2 kung laos"??? release the game in october or november with A.I rather then september and being a game for doublesfuriousfuriousfuriousfuriousfuriousfurioussadsadsadfuriousfurioussadsad

....adds Reptile to vs. selectable list....

Anyway.... guys, it's been mentioned many times already that you can select 2 Liu Kangs or 2 Kung Laos in versus--the cinematics were said to always show both characters, regardless.

I like the idea of being rewarded for ko-op.

Yeah, and the last solution (if you haven't any bro and any friend) is learning to play with your feet... lol gringringrin

I hate to say it, but the more I hear, the less enthusiastic I become. I won't say I'm going to completely dislike it, since as far as I can tell it'll be at least an above average game, but I know I'm not going to like it as much as I initially thought.
