Lmao! Garl I absolutely agree with you on those top 5 things. I don't have any of my own because you covered it all. Kitana's ribbons are the most god awful accessory she's ever been given in any MK game. Couldn't they have just used the blue band. And one thing I've noticed is that there is no bow. If this is suppose to be a ribbon, where is the bow that was tied off to create it. Instead there is just a blue band with two stiff sticks poking out of the sides lol. And dear lord, Rage is so cheesy and lame. I watched the video of some story mode clips about the Rage and it was so camp. The word "Rage" is going to be overused and abused in story mode, that much is clear.

i've been trying to figure out why liu kangs bandana seems to work fine and doesn't look completely stiff like it's been over starched.

put the stupid flap thingy that all the male characters have with the shoulder pads.

I'm not hating on the game either. The weird things though:

1. The Hair: I haven't really noticed anything weird about Sonya's hair, but on some of the others it looks like their hair is super glued to their skull. Also there seems to be a plastic glaze that covers there hair giving some of them the barbie doll/Ken doll look. Not entirely important to me, but it makes me wonder how they will do hair physics for MK9. Will a combatants hair get messed up in a fight or what?

2. Seeing Sub-Zero with a teleport and Kitana with Mileena's roll.

3. Heroic Brutality.

4. The mash ups of course. Sub-Zero vs Batman. Weird but cool.

5. MK characters fighting in a teen rated game.

I agree with everything you said except for the shoulder pads part. Subs and Scorp look great with them, and Mad Max would have some shit to sort out with you if you insulted his fashionable one shoulder mountain.

Magic is especially dumb. Not only does that lack an explanation for other super powered characters who are at times equal with Superman, it also was never canonically a weakness of superman in the comics.
It's a vulnerability in the sense that magic affects him the same as normal people (well, not always), whereas physical damage would do splatter them and usually have no affect on Supes. Magic doesn't rob him of his superpowers, the deal is just that spells can work on him.
If you wanted to call chi magic (which there could be a good case for) it wouldn't work, because Scorpion uses his chi to impart physical damage. Only the sorcerors of the MK world who have spells to cast could be a threat to him, and get this - Superman has been shown to be resistant to magic. His force of psycho-kinetic will has overpowered the effects of spells.

Now, am I being picky? I didn't ask for an explanation, I'm just calling this one out as I see it; dumb. They'd do better to just say "Fuck it! It's a game!" in some ways, but if the characters don't gel well together, then maybe you picked the wrong universe to crossover with, especially since you also made this shitty "THE RAAAAAAGE!" thing to try and get it to work as a story.

For the record: Streetfighter vs Mortal Kombat would have owned this game to me.

1) people that are saying "stop saying magic" when you all know that there are STILL some ass hats out there going "UZZ KANT BEAT THU SUPERMANS!!111!!

2)The roster supposedly being made up of nothing but iconic charactars.(No Cage, Kung Lao, WTF?)

3) Yellow eyes that are still present for Fatalities. I get it for rage mode, but why during the fatalties?

4) The T rating. I'm at a place where I know why it had to be. I even think it forced the MK team to put together a better game instead of packing on the gore. But a T rated MK is truly...weird.

5) There are only two ninja charactars in this game.

Yeah, would have been nice if they had a different animation for everyone or at least a few different once. Doesn't really fit some characters at all.

1. MkvsDc - What needs to be said here? How about that first trailer back in April? That was pretty weird.

3. "Deh R3almz Iz M3rg1n'!!" ...or.... "1t'z deh M4g1k!" - Especially about that magic ploy. Wow. All of a sudden MK is a Universe Filled to the brim with pixel dust fairies, elfs, and some fat guy in a red suit who can somehow shimmy down a chimney. (?!?)

4. Gameplay as a selling point - Needed this, but it's still weird as all hell. I'm glad they're taking pride in it though. More weird about it, is the highlights that they're advertising. All these little funky modes? Really?

b.) character progressive - "hm?"
c.) I have to do WHAT?!?...to get the whole story?
d.) I can't take who I want though that....for as long as I want? Have they seen WoW?

1.- NO Johnny Cage? NO Mileena?.........seriously, WTF where they thinking!!!!

2.- NO alternates????????? And what's worse, its because DC is making too much of a deal about it so MK alternates get sacrificed as well.

3.- Lack of attention and detail on certain characters and things: Liu Kang’s unfair simple costume, Wonderwoman’s and Kitana’s models, hairs and ribbon, Jax’s dog tags defy gravity (hopefully that has been changed), the re-use of OLD animations ( ) on some gameplay things, character’s stealing special moves, etc.

4.- Those STUPID glowing eyes on the fatalities. I guess I get it on the DC side, but NOT the Mk guys who are used to playing with blood and death.

5.- A “T” Mk game and John Tobias is back and it has DC characters? Wow...
