However, i'm doing free throws, as quik said i don't see a problem with this unless it leads to an infinite.
HB won't play by the rules if he competes in this tourney man.
Kiler B are you making a bracket???This thing is totally random, are you working it like a sports tourney say the worst player plays teh best the second plays the next to last etc??

Mav, I'm afraid free throws are going to be allowed in this one. I understand if you don't want to join. Still haven't come up with whether a free hit after a free throw is legal though. Like the F3/throw/F3 BRC combo for example. That will be voted on once we have all the registrants, and majority rules.

Sounds good kiler, good idea man, i have been busy with keeping the clan in check that i haven't even been noticing these wars or tournaments that much until now really.
Also kiler b, when you have a minute i need you to face nsobo again, i know you played him a while back, but he has improved and he really wants to try again.Turbo agreed to play him, you want to to or should i?

Well he takes a free hit after the free throw. That's one thing that's up for vote in the tourney.

i am in too. but i will be taking any and all free throws i see. and i think hits after free throws should be legal too. i think the only rules shoud be no infinites and no moving before the round.

For example, I was a little unclear if Saleen was joining or not. He was a bit vague in his answer. Anyone wanting to be removed must notify me by September 30th. If you want to be removed after September 30th, you will have already been randomly selected to play your opponent, and that person will automatically move on to the next round without fighting anyone, and your name will be on the charts as a forfeit. Good turn out so far!

So this wont start untill Sept 30? IS Dairou distance game allowed because thats like an automatic win.

That's a hard one because who's to say what's running away? What if someone backs up a few times and shoots projectiles? Is he disqualified even though he didn't do it the entire round? What if he does it half the time? There's a real grey area there, plus it's not like he would be doing anything illegal. We can vote on this, but I think it would be voted to be okay since it's a real hard judgement call. My suggestion would be to learn Dariou yourself maybe?? Unless of course the majority thinks it's really not a fair tactic, but like I said, who'd to judge how much running is illegal? Can he not back away from you at all? Do you get to decide when he's backed away too much? You don't think there's any characters that can beat a Dairou player that does this? I don't know because I haven't had a chance to play a good Dairou in months actually.
New rule added as well. When the names are drawn from the hat it will go like this. The first 2 picked out will fight each other. The 2nd one picked for each pair will have to choose their character first. After that the 2 will trade off every other game. Understand? If you're playing someone that does not care about this and just picks first, that's your benefit and he can do that... The chart will indicate clearly which figheter has to pick their character first during the first fight.

im in as long as anything goes except for infin, dariou, bo, free throws, hits after free throws. ban anyhting thats not an infin and im out. ps u can break anything hit after a free throw so there is no reason to ban them.

no im saying bo and and dariou sit back cheese is allowed. if u ban any of that along with ashra im out. example b4, throw, cs+u2, jump over is allowed as long as u hav breakers. its not an infinite if u let me do the u2, u choose not to break the hit, so i should be allowed the free throw. stuff like that.

Saleen... Yes you're fine... As of right now everything is allowed except infinites and moving before the round. I think that's where it will stand. We can't ban a certain way people play Dairou really because like I said, it's a grey area and it really is just another legit strategy that is just really hard to beat. Anyone can learn it and combat this strategy by doing the same thing if it's really that big of a deal. When it comes to a free hit after a free throw, Saleen has a point. It's breakable. So, the best thing to do is learn how to do these things yourself if you think it will help you fight someone that does these things.
Thanks Calibur, I'm glad there's a lot of interest and participants. I think we've got more than double what EVO had! Hahah... I guess it's a little easier to play 13 games max a week from home than hopping on a plane to Vegas.

So basically its anything except infinites. Allowing those means partial infinites and corner combos are allowed. I am down with that. But what the fuck is a limit on a partian infinite. So I can do darrius.. 3,df2,ss,throw,walkup,3,12444 as long as they have breakers. Once they run out of breakers I have to stop after the throw. Correct?

yes strech, as far as the n/s thing hmmmmmmm. i consider when u repeat something over an over to be a partial. with ashra, not allowed is u2, jump over, throw, u2 .. but b4, throw, u2 , throw is allowed. same result but not a sequence repeated. this is where everything becomes a grey area. its not a 1 game match so u will still hav 6 games to counter something.
