BNR, i got you on there, but don't forget this. When you're the best, there' s always going to be haters and excuses. I've played you from the opposite coast and I've never noticed any lag. I have no problem admitting after 11,000 games that I'll never be as good as you. I mean the game needs to be 100% sychronized to work. Meaning, if you're lag is slowing down the game, your opponenent can take just as much advantage of it as you. Not that it matters because i never even noticed our game lagging.
Anyway, 2 more spots open... We're just about there! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. BLAZE?!? HB?!?!

I guess Dreddy, Bobby Blaze, and HB can't handle the pressure or just don't have the time to play the game they love. Playing other games is no excuse. Saying you're going to be better at MK7 is a real lame excuse. Glad we don't have anyone like that in our clan.

Killer B I explained to YOU, I am simple not entering this TOURNAMENT. I don't feel as, if I have the CHARACTER and SKILLS at this MOMENT, to enter such a BRUTAL KOMBAT! As I said, I will be one of the DEADLIEST and most DOMINANT Fighter when MK7 comes out. I Know what I am capable of doing and speaks for know one else. Played Shaolin Monks last night... I'll probably be putting it up on Ebay within the next couple days. Seems a little redundant to me. I much prefer the MK fighters, but that's just my opinion.

I dont think i have much of a chance...i might be able to get past the first round depending who my opponent is....
Killer is there going to be double elimination in the tourney or single elimination.

Here are the rules...

Since everyone seemed to want to start this ASAP, we will give everyone a few days to check this out and start the tournament on Sunday, September 25th. You will have until Saturday, October 1st to play your first opponent. I’ll try to IM all the participants to check this thread in the next day or 2 also.

If you’re on the roster, please do us all a favor and read this entire post...

1. No infinites
2. No moving before it says “Fight!”
3. No partial infinites
4. First person to 7 wins moves to the next level.
5. You can play any character you want every single game.
6. Players are randomly put on the tournament board. For the first round, every odd player (The player on top of his opponent on the chart,) will get to decide whether he or his opponent picks first during the first game they play. From that point on it will switch back and forth. If your opponent does not care about this and just picks, that’s his prerogative and your advantage. If he does not have a mic and he does this, assume you’ll be picking first the next time and you can start trading off back and fort again.
7. Free throws are legal.
8. 1 throw per combo.
9. No free hits after a free throw. I’ve played most of you and I think we’re all skilled enough not to need to have to do this. I’ve only seen this done with Bo Rai Cho, but this does apply to all characters. Remember, not everyone can be 100% happy with these rules, we have to go with what the majority prefers and I think this is it.
10. You have one week from the day the tournament officially starts to get with your first opponent and fight him.
11. I assume there will be 2 or 3 people stressing because they have tried to make contact with their opponent and were not able to. In the unlikely event that after 4 days of trying through IM’s on MKO or looking for your opponent online, you still can’t get with them, you can then file a public “My opponent will not answer” post on this thread here. If you’re in the tournament, you should be checking this thread at least once a week. (Remember guys, it's just the first to 7, this won’t take much time out of your schedules.) If you signed up for this, and you fail to play your opponent, your opponent will move on to the next level and there will be a big yellow COWARD highlighted across your name on the tourney chart. The only excuse allowed will be if there is a death in the family and if that is the case the MKD Tournament Board will need to see a death certificate as proof. (Just kidding, God forbid!)

My suggestion to you all is this... Not that I don’t trust any of these guys, but just to serve as proof in case the situation comes up where you think someone did something illegal or there is just a dispute, I would hook your Xbox up to a VCR and tape your tourney matches. I would also suggest this... Don’t tell your opponent whether you are or are not taping your matches. It will serve as sort of a silent protector. Desperate players considering cheating may be deterred from doing so if they think the entire roster could be watching them. Remember, there’s no honor in cheating, especially when there are rules that everyone is aware of previously laid out.

I think this sums it all up... If there is anybody that does not agree with any of the above rules, you can say something, but if 17 people or more do not agree with you, we are going to follow these rules. If there is something you really think should be changed and you can’t get your way, maybe well do it your way next time. If you have skills, I think these rules are liberal enough for you to pull out most of your stops and put up a good fight.

The rules sound good but you need to change the part where it says no hits after a free throw. "No throw glitches" is what it should say. They way you said it, I could pick Bo Rai Cho and throw, cs, 12cs2 and it would be 100% legal Change that!

Saleen, can't your 111cs44 throw u2+cs db3+cs 111cs44cs be broken? 2 free throws is a little much. What if we use Quiks rule? Would that make everyone happy? If the majority agree, I'm down for it. I just don't want any partial infinites in here. I think Quik can explain what those are bettter than myself.

ok, bo s b1 after a throw can be brokenm so can his f3. so ur point is.
quick think a ss throw w/ noobjoke is an infin, so ban unbreakable combos than.
im sorry but u cant hav 1 free throw per combo, but than put restrictions on it.
if u cant hit after a free throw than unbreakable combos should be banned or limit to 1 per rd.

how bout anything questionable don't do. make it easy on yourself and everyone else.

The rule is one throw per combo. So in answer to your question...
cloud, ff+4, db+2, d+1, b+1, ss, throw, ff+4, db+2, d+1, b+1
that would be totally legit by this rule so, by all means, go for it. no glitching after throws, enough said. you most likely will be the only one who has a problem with bo not having his glitch. so pick shu and do his damaging combos or pick n/s and do the above combo. just find something else to do.
