Welcome, welcome, one and all. We're going to have ourselves a little game here. I'll give a quick FAQ of the game and how it works.

WHAT IS MKO KONTENDER?
Remember MKO Idol? Yea, kind of like that. If you're new since the last one or have bad long-term memory, I'll refresh:
- This is nothing more than a simple popularity contest. Sort of.
- 100 users enter, 1 emerges as the champion.
- The purpose of the competition is to determine who the community thinks is the "Kontender" or the best user here.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?
All you have to do is post here saying you want to play, and you're in. If you're one of the, shall we say, more popular users (or tight with me), feel free to take a chance and not post; you might just make the cut anyway. Your choice, really.

BUT DUDE, POPULARITY CONTESTS SUCK!
Oh, you don't want to play? Yea, post that here too. If you don't want to play, you're better off saying so than not, because if you don't you might be put in, and once I put you in I'm not taking you out.

No. Next question.

OK, SO HOW DOES THE VOTING WORK?
Once the field of 100 is set, it will be divided randomly into 10 groups of 10. The matchups will be decided randomly amongst the groups, and we'll go from there. Voting is simple: You simply post who you want to vote for in each battle. You do NOT have to vote in every match for your votes to count, and if you're in a match you can't vote for yourself. You are allowed to vote for your opponent, but other than being a good sport I can't see why you would. Each voting period lasts for 48 hours (that's 2 days). I will not be voting. If there is a tie, We will re-vote at the end of the round. Once again, the ROUND, not the GROUP.

SO, WHAT IF I WIN?
If you win, you can't ever play again. I'm keeping it like Idol in that you won't get a chance to defend your title, you'll just go into some make-believe hall of fame or something. If you're the runner-up, you can't play next year, but you can in subsequent competitions. Simple, eh?

ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?
Yea, actually, a few things:
- No disparaging remarks towards other users. First offense will bring a warning, second offense means you can't vote for the remainder of the competition, and the third offense means you will never be allowed to participate again, competing or voting. All offenses will get you skulled. I mean it.
- I don't need help running this. I know what I'm doing, so don't ask if you can help.
- Don't ask me what the upcoming matches will be. I'll post the groups when I'm good and ready.
- If I even suspect someone is cloning, the culprit will skip to offense #3.
- Have fun with this. I want to be as good as Idol, and without you guys there's no chance in hell.
