The Santa in the background is really distracting. You could've cleaned up the sprites a bit instead of just using a ripped ones. The little 'pop' of acid towards the end isn't really necessary, either. Oh, and he spits all the acid right passed her, but she gets covered in it and melts anyway. Having some of it stop and dissapate would really add to the effect.
Fix some of this stuff and you'd have a pretty good animation going.

Absolutely incredible on the actual animation! Great use of MK1 Reptile sprites but using his head as shown in MKII, props to you for the great job combining those.
Next time you use the pit background, try animating the actual clouds. They go a little bit something like this.

He took the words right out of my mouth.
Another thing I'd like to add is that you should have Reptile move into his proper position before the screen darkens. Also, if you're going to put the Double Flawless point total part, you may as well have the Fatality points added on too.
Another thing you could've done is use the green skull that they had in MK1, to make it more authentic to the original.
It's a good animation though, justa few things could be improved for consistency. Please continue doing stuff like this.

Good points in the critiques, though I think the silhouette adds to the piece. Thanks for the example ]{ - can that be converted to a gif?

Yes it is not a GIF it is html . If it was GIF , it would use some size :O . I believe a flash format of it is possible , but I think UR doesn't use flash .

I can't make it a GIF because I don't think there's a way to keep the clouds going at the same pace that they're supposed to and have them loop properly, ending up in the same place again. It gets complicated. But try and make use of it by taking the 3 or 4 different GIFs there are and combining them when making an animation.
