Acutally Hikari715, you didn't read the whole post. I'm looking for the dark grounds (when one does a fatality, etc).

I've always been a firm believer in ripping the actual backgrounds as MK darkens them, rather than using a program to darken the backgrounds. It gives it that 100% authenticity, and I've used this method for all of my animations and even one of my comics. Here you go:

Make a new layer above the bg layer(the MK stage), fill the new layer with black, lower the opacity, not that hard =P
This can be done if you have GIMP or PS.

Fire up the MK game in MAME, start to do a Fatality, use AceKombat's cheats to make the sprites invisible, and take a screenshot.

This is the only way to get a 100% arcade-perfect darkened background, as opposed to ripping a bright background and then trying to darken it yourself. A perfect example of why dark BG's should be ripped instead of made is Kahn's Arena below:

That's another way of doing it.
The perfect way, like you said, ]{ombat, but, I didn't hear from the first post he wanted the exact perfect one, just a dark bg for a fatality.

Either way, you can still get dark bg.
Though, it might be faster on GIMP and/or PS than to do a fatality and then get the perfect darkened bg.
It depends though.
