"Uhhhhh, what just happened?" Keith asked has he stood up, still a little groggy. Before anyone could answer Keith got hit with a cheap-shot by Kahn. Kahn, barley even alive stood triumphant. Keith pretended to be unconcisous on the floor. When Kahn bent over to throw him, Keith kicked him in the face, snapping his neck backwards. Keith stood up over him and said
"By the gods, grant me my power to end this man's life."

Keith felt power surge through him. He reached down and began to stick his hand through Shao Kahn's chest, he began to convulse, and he dissapeared.

"What the hell?" Kahn had just transported through a portal to Outworld.
"Another day, another fight."

Reptile poked out "umm keith, you and raiden need to come with me, Mage's orders" he said shyly and timidly "I don't know why but she wants you two locked up"

Raiden, still shaken from the attack, spoke up "she spoke with him during that fight, either she is being controlled or knows something we don't"
Mage turned "yeah, he wants to use all three of us, and if he tries it, we need to be..." mage sobbed "I'm sorry, but I have a feeling I can't risk anything else"

Raiden stopped her "Mage don't worry, it seems like you are beyond his grasp, he was just trying to scare you" reptile nodded "yeah I'm with him" he said pointing to raiden "lets just get some rest" mage nodded "ok, keith raiden, ummm can we be you know, together tonight" she only saw two smiles from her gods "I guess that is a yes" she said softly

While the three gods retired, Fujin, stryker and reptile looked worried

"why is she so freaked anyway" said stryker
Fujin sighed "its a long story, but she is justified in her fears..."
Reptile nodded "if that thing gets what it wants, then everything we know will be no more, literally"

In the fighter's quarters, Mage looked at her new roommates "so, what do you think boys, not much but its home to me right now"

"after what happened" started Mage "I don't want any of us to be alone"
Raiden nodded "I understand Mage" he smiled at both his new fellow gods "that monster will not bother us again for a while"
Mage shook "what was he?"
Raiden sighed "the one being, the very creature all the realms was created from"
Mage drew back "so much for the big bang..."
Raiden laughed "if you saw the battle you wouldn't be saying that" he lowered his tone "but his consuisness, his soul, lives on, even after his defeat by the elder gods, so he tries to control others into either creating nothingness, reforming his body or simply destroying those who are a threat"
Mage looked at keith "or turn them against each other, that creature uses people like toys" she snapped
Raiden smiled "but every so often, there are people born who are senstive to him, but immune to his tricks, Mage I think you are one of them"
Mage shook "well its too much for me, Let me handle onaga first, then I'll worry about that beast, and get him for trying to get keith, and you!" she snarled

"Luckily you are immune to it. It wasn't fun. But I know why he targeted me.... I have a confession to make." Keith looked away from from Mage and Raiden.

"A few years ago, I was driving home from one of my fights when I saw smoke. No, not the warrior, I mean like smoke smoke. So I turned the corner and my house was on fire. I saw water on the floor so I ran inside, and in my house, was.. the frozen but melting bodies of my girlfriend and my son. Now I would have no idea why they were frozen unless there were dead bodies around. My son, I was teaching brazilian jujitsu and other fighting techniques. He defeated as many assilants as he could but he couldn't handle them all. I knew who they were. They were the Lin Kuei. They had destroyed my family and home. So I made a deal with the One Being. If it destroied the Lin Kuei, I would do some... deeds for it. It did it's part of the bargain first. The whole clan was destroyed except for a few warriors including sub-zero. He started the new reformed Lin Kuei. It then had me travel to the Nettherrealm and destroy some 'demon killers' who worked for Ashrah. When he asked me to kill her I ran from him. As I got through a portal back to Earthrealm I ran into a black smog. I remember waking up 2 weeks later in a Shaolin temple. I felt something inside of me but didn't know what it was. I knew it would come back to haunt me. From them, I learned most of my fighting techniques today, from them I learned from Liu Kang and Kung Lao, from them I learned about... Mortal Kombat."

Mage held keith "no, he can't make you anymore, I won't allow it" raiden also looked saddened. "you and I made the same mistake keith, when I saw onaga was still alive after my first strike, my suicide, I made a deal with him to be reborn stronger....every day I curse myself for my stupidity"

Mage shook with rage "he tricked you" she snarled "he fucking tricked you both, he made you pawns with your saddness, he used your tragidies, your heartbreaks for himself" mage screamed "and I remeber he tried that with me, I was six, he saw I was scared and said that he could get rid of my attackers and everything would be ok if I did him a favor later on, but a six year old isn't as stupid as people think, I knew he was bad, I wanted the attackers to get me so he wouldn't" Mage began to pace around the room "that thing has no emotions does it? No heart, no soul, its just a beast feeding, why can't it be happy it still exists at all?"

Raiden looked at keith a moment "I think our foe struck a nerve with her"

Mage shook her head "I am the only one who can protect you two, I know you guys want to be my heros but I think I have that role now" Mage was still fuming "what if he targets fujin, or reptile or stryker?" Mage continued to pace "If I see that thing again I'll...."

Both raiden and keith grabbed her "Mage calm down!" shouted raiden "We may be weak against him but he will try to hurt you in other ways, we are still as much your guardians as you are ours" he said, Mage sunk down "I....."

Mage only sat, quiet, scared, and worried. Some time passed before she spoke again, as raiden and keith sat, watching her "I can't lose you both" she sighed "not to that thing" she formed a small smile on her face "by the way keith, your late girlfriend and son are fine, they want you to fight this thing" she smiled as keith looked in shock "hey I am the guardian of spirits, so I can talk to the dead" she smirked "they are worried about you though, they hate the one being for even thinking about doing what he did, and don't want you to become a mindless pawn of his, like onaga is now"

Keith couldn't help being happy. "Can you ask my son if he remembered to use his kicks?" Keith had to know, it was what they were training. "Isn't that akward though, talking to dead people?" Keith wasn't really concerned, he was to busy beaming at the fact that he was able to communicate with his dead son. It seamed to good to be true, was it?

Mage laughed "ok ok I'll check" she fell silent again, the returned smiling "he has been, and says he is going to be as good a fighter as you someday" she smiled "he is very proud of you, and I can't blame him"

Mage smiled "my my, one would think a god would have a few dozen kids?" she smirked, raiden shook his head "Mage, in all honesty, you are the only woman I ever had an intrest in" he said "I was always too busy training or protecting to even care about romance until now" he sighed and Mage laughed "really, all the stories I hear about gods are more along the lines of lock your women when they are around" she and keith began to laugh and raiden cringed "you mean my brethern and the eldergods sometimes" he gritted "save myself and fujin, they can be a 'handful' as it were" Mage couldn't help but laugh "you poor thing" she said mockingly "well I am sure me and keith are 'better behaved right?"

Keith couldn't help himself, raiden looked pretty funny. They talked on into the night about gods and fights, and a whole bunch of expierences. Keith walked out to the window and realized it was morning. He had gotten no sleep. "Hey guys, we gotta get to the arena, it's already the morning. By the time they got there, everybody was around, and Onaga was in the arena mat waiting for Mage. "Hey Mage, he's your dragon king, go ahead and kill him." Keith had said.

Mage smirked "easy as pie, tonight, he dies" she felt stronger then ever, she was happy, reptile ran up to her "mage, give him one for me, that bastard took my body for a time, so show him what it is like to lose his" he hissed, mage smiled "rep, you are gonna have dragon skin boots, I promise" she looked at fujin and stryker "you guys want me to give him a few blows too?" both laughed "HELL YEAH!" said stryker, fujin smiled "good luck"

Mage approched onaga at the time of the battle, onaga boomed "YOU WILL NOT TASTE THE FRUITS OF GODDESSHOOD, YOU WILL PERISH AND ROT IN HELL!!" mage just smirked "yeah yeah, heard that one before" she knew fiegning cockiness would give her the edge. Raiden stepped up and boomed "FIGHT!" the dragon struck first, breathing fire across the arena, but mage rolled out of the way, sending a psyonic blast at him. The dragon king stood up from being toppled over, and began to swing with his tail, but mage first jumped, then ducked, the grabbed it and threw him across the arena. His claws and teeth where brought to the fray, along with his sword, but mage countered with her twin blades and used the haunted buzzsaw to slow him down. The battle waged for hours, as the sun began to set, darkening the arena, both where tired, but onaga had one last chance, he threw himself like raiden at mage, big mistake. Mage knew that move well and jumped up then jumped onto the dragon's back, nearly breaking it. Onaga stood up dazed, raiden bellowed again "FINISH HIM" mage stood up and disappeared, only to reform infront of onaga, who laughed "YOU MISSED" mage smirked "give it five seconds" then lunged again, cutting off his head, as his body fell into four quartered pieces. The crowded stood in silence, then cheered as mage took the king's head and held it behind her like a teddybear, silent. She then threw it at houtaro, who was watching from the sidelines "Here is your savior, nothing more then flesh like any other" she sneered, walking away. Later on, she was swarmed by her friends. She only smiled "well, whats next boys?" she said

Keith was surpirsed at the ending of the fight. The whole time Mage was in control but she couldn't finish it. Keith was going to congraulate her but something told him to go to his room and go to sleep, he was exhausted.

He awoke around 2 in the morning when he heard something outside of his room. It was a silent footstep creeping to Mage's bedroom, and then another, and another. Keith peeped out of his window and saw a legion of undead soldiers, mixed with a horde of tarkatans and a Shao Kahn extermination squad. Keith ran outside and began the brawl. A Tarkatan charged at him with his blades drawn and got flung into a soldier. Another undead soldier thrust his sword at Keith and got disarmed giving Keith a sword. Keith began to hack at the extermination squad. Hundreds of men were falling before Keith and his blade. Tarkatans found themselves almost dead with there blades taken out of his arms. Extermantion Squad personel found themselves questioning there loyalty to Shao Kahn as they were getting kicked in the face. And undead soldiers were just taking a beating. Everybody came outside to witness the fight but noone dared to interfere. Finally, it was just Keith and the new head Tarkatan muchibuax. He lunged at keith with both blades Baraka style. Keith just side stepped and cut off his head. Keith sighed a breath of relief, but then a cybernetic ninja attacked him from behind. Keith pretended to be hurt and tumbled forward, but using the momentum propelled himself backwards superman style but stomach up and fists clenched. Hit the ninja in the chest. Keith jumped over the ninja and landed on his shoulders and began to pluck at the wiring. The black blood began to spill everywhere. Keith then stood up and held his hand under the ninjas mask pulling at it. His head came off. Keith was standing there on a headless ninjas body. As it fell to its knees Keith jumped off.

Mage looked on, then looked up "whats wrong shao, scared of me?" she sneered "you fucking pawn, you are nothing more then a mear puppet" she snarled "hell I can see the strings, besides your old 'master' is finally dead and its not my place to take your life" she snapped "so don't bother with me, unless you want a fight, and want to see hell first hand for the rest of your miserable life"

Reptile sniggered a bit thinking "bad move 'boss' she warps the minds of her foes, giving them nightmares, she is a goddess now, and you don't fuck around with a goddess"

Mage looked at keith "well, should we spare this weakling or should we send his soul to hell now and save us a few headaches"

"I'll handle this, although, if you wanna kick him or whatever, be my guest."

Keith did a roundhouse kick to Kahn's face. Keith then swept his legs out from under him and jumped with his foot facing down. Before he could come down all the way, Kahn moved quick. Quicker than Keith had ever seen before. Keith then threw a punch, Kahn again, moved quick. He hit keith with a kick to the ribs, it hurt, but not as much as usual, something was wrong. Keith summoned all of his strength and did a jump kick to the unsuspecting Kahn. Kahn flew backwards, and now, laying before Keith was Raiden. Keith heel kicked him in the stomach, and then it was Reptile. Keith mounted him and began to punch him. Stryker, Mage, Quan Chi, Onaga,Shao Kahn, Sub-Zero, Millena, Baraka, Scorpion, Stryker, Fujin, and then finally it's true form came out. It was the sorcerer Shang Tsung. Keith began to punch him as hard as he could and felt Tsung's head digging into the ground. Keith got up and let Shang Tsung stand up. Keith said"You tricked me once sorcerer, you'll never get a second chance. Keith ran at Tsung with a jump kick in mind. Keith was in the air when he saw a flash of green and then blackness.

Mage saw tsung prepare an attack "I thought I killed you" she hissed, tsung was distracted "YOU, YOU LITTLE BITCH!" he forgot about ketih and lunged at mage but she only smirked "see what you have brought upon yourself charlaton" she waved her hand and all the souls tsung had killed and absorbed in the past overtook him. "NO, NO, GET BACK I COMAND YOU!" he screamed as he was ripped to shreads, Mage looked at ketih "well, are you going to get khan now or what?" she said smirking

"I would love to... but I can't. I finally realize it now. My destiny is to destroy him, but it's going to be dragged out for centruies, until the end of time. I know that when I go after him now, he'll escape and I will have to find him all over again. So, I'll rest, get some energy back, and find him tommorow."
