Basically this takes place after the events of Mortal Kombat I. Shang Tsung is debating with himself whether or not he should return to his master or not and comes up with the brilliant idea of morphing into someone else to disguise himself from the emperor.

Well it says MK II : The Comic, obviously the lack of misadventures in MK II or MKII MISHAPS. So I think it'd be pretty safe to assume this wasn't a comical comic of comedy from the name alone.

At first I was discouraged cause no one had commented for a week, yet a month later ]{ombat replied that it6 is actually pretty good so i guess I'll continue it. expect a new one soon. very soon.
