Knowing about the leaks I'm not ready to dismiss MK11 just yet. I hope, no matter if its very bright and colorful or dark and omnient it's s good game and not one that fans sell on eBay in droves within 6 months of its release.

With that said I can accept if any of the other leaks are true and by reading them I definitely feel they are. The fact they plan to show off the game the way they recently said matches the leaks.

I honestly wish there were no batch leaks and we can go back to small, gradual coverage from game sites and not rumor sites of forums. I miss the gool ol' days of Gamepro, EGM, etc. I fear we will know everything about the game by the end of the first week of its release. I'm still hopong for the same shock and awe factor of MK9 despite knowing alot of that game early.

Dark and gritty (from grit) means that vibrant colors are out of the pictures. Real colors are more washed out than computer graphics.

It's not Netherrealm fault if you can't see the difference. Mkx was darker and more realistic, MK9 looks like a bad cartoon and for the few things we saw I have some minor doubts about MK11's body proportions.

While Ronda Rousey is no voice actress, I was talking about Kevin Conroy.

Also, Ronda is a martial artist she knows how breathing and fighting screams work. While the previous voice actress did a good job with Sonya in MK X her fighting screams and breaths looked like fake orgasms.

Also, Ronda could just be a premier skin.

Injustice 2 voice acting was tormented and delayed due to the actors guild strike of2017, I can see where WB is coming from and why they want to change some of the voice actors.

With all respect, but you take the color issue the wrong way.

MKx used a very low color contrast. That combined with the washed out colors (low color itensity) created the issue that many of us are talking about. One may like it another not. I personally prefer a higher color contrast with higher intensity like MK9 used for example. More color variation in general (Im just talking colors here, not the cartoony style)

As my opinion on the cover art. I don't dislike or like it. I like Scorpion's action pose, but im not a fan of the entire yellow look. Text in white is... boring. But not a big issue perse. But than again it would kinda be dissapointing if the in game text would be in white again.

I guess im ok with it. Since the release of MKx i have wisly adjusted my expectations.

Well i'm a graphic designer, and I still stand behind my original opinion.
It looks too bland. The background looks very cheap

And not to hate or anything..
But again with the gold..... I'm really looking forward to this game as any MK.
But the gold is a bit too much everywhere.. It does not fit with the tone of this universe and game..

But hey, who am I ;)

I really don't see the problem here. Its simple, vibrant, and attention grabbing. Everything it should be.

If this confirms the leaked roster, I will be moderately pleased.

Probably. I have always had a preference toward minimalist covers with just the logo and a cool background.

Really hope that roster isn’t true. Bo Rai Cho ? Who asked for Bo Rai Cho ? Frost ... why not just make her an alt costume for Sub Zero ? Do we really need to two cryomancers. And bringing back the most visually boring, uninspired and unoriginal character since Mokap, Jackie Briggs is just insane. They could have brought back Havik, Reiko, Sareena and tons of other 3D era characters and we get this. Le sigh ...

The Roster leak came from a completely different person after the e-mail leak, and the guy who made the e-mail leak said he doesn't know the roster, and had nothing to do with the one posted.

I think Boon also debunked that roster.

True, it contained the names Geras and Kronika, but since it came AFTER this leak (and this leak looked highly legitimate) it's ENTIRELY possible the person who made that roster just took details from this leak and used them as a jumping off point.

Yeah I am starting to think the days of them taking risks roster wise is over. My bet is the majority of MKX returns, plus more figures from trilogy and like 1 or 2 3D era folks aside from Kenshi and Quan Chi, which sucks.

We will see soon enough. I am just going in with a very very low expectation.

I'd consider MK2 a "dark" game but that was full of colour.

I don't disagree, but MK has never had particularly great cover art. I'm into this one more than some previous covers, especially if they do different character variants.

I never read the email that you guys are speaking of. But it listed Geras and Kronika as 2 playable characters? Im guessing Kronika is the girl from the trailer and possibly the goddess of time. Geras is the greek god of old age, his enemy is "Hebe" which is the god of youth. I guess Kronika is the equivalent of Hebe in the MKU. But the question I immediately have is, how in the world do you come up with TWO different movesets that deal with time? Obviously one of them will slow down time like Flash/Reptile, but what else? Maybe Kronika has the power over sand? as in "the sands of time" and they do show her next to a giant hourglass with sand.

excited for the game but i have to say the cover could be better . to bad they couldn't do a cover showing the mysterious time chick with hour glass from the trailer with raidens face on one half of the hourglass and cassie cage on the other half . as if she is watching them through it

Is it not the whole point to be on the front cover to be recognised so that it the game is instantly recognisable? It is why Cristiano Ronaldo and/or Lionel Messi are always on the front cover of FIFA everytime.

Why would Boon care who is on the front cover? Why would it be up to Boon who is on the front cover? Boon is the creative director of the game. He is not in charge of marketing. Warner Bros is in charge of marketing and they decide who is on the front cover.
