Most fans seemed to be displeased with it, and wanted her original hairstyle back. Personally, I preferred the short do.

I believe she didn't lose the short hair, and you're both mistaken, because Steve Brownback completely confirmed her short hair is still in the game after the initial switch.

Why the hell they swapped it for the demo/story trailer I have no idea, maybe they just decided they liked it better long. But they have confirmed the short hair is still in there somewhere (Unlockable? Alt? I have no idea, I don't have the game yet. :P)

Fret not, Skarlet fans, she has multiple hair options.

She doesn't scream CYBORG to me. Maybe she undergoes multiple transformations during the story, from classic ninja to Cyber to Kronika's vessel (notice how her eyes are exactly like Kronika's)

As for Skarlet? I, for one, am VERY glad the short hair is still an option! I know it’s not how she was introduced, but I just think the short hair suits her better. However, I also like the classic ponytail look too. So nice to have options (I think that’s my favorite part of this new game: all the customization we can do). Everyone should be able to make a version of every character that is suited to their tastes. Also liking that new skin for Skarlet (and the Kitana ones that were shown). I no longer am dreading this game having no variety in the female outfits. Very glad to admit I was wrong on that aspect.

Doesn't Jacqui have almost the same costume as Frost? I still don't see the variety in female costumes. Almost all the ladies have a costume with those clothes hanging down from the belt area on both front and back sides, not sure how they are called? There are also similar tops, hoods etc.

They all practically have the same costume. If it's not the fashionable villainess leather thing then it's generic body armor. Apparently NRS didn't learn anything from MK9. They just thought the thing people didn't like was how much skin the women were showing rather than the problem being the samey, boring costumes.
