It pops up very seldomly depending on what part of the krypt your in. The bloodmarsh and the forest aren't as bad as the other places for his appearances, but if I where you I'd just mute the Tv, put your ipod on, and scroll through the krypt whilst concentrating on the music playing in your ears. Thats what I done, and considering I'm a chicken shit, it worked fine for me. lol

Undiscovered's right. Just mute your tv. The sound should really be what gets you, not the image itself.

lol I was mostly kidding, though I admit I kind of jumped when I first heard/saw it.

After the first time, it's all good.

I'm not afraid of the actual monster. In fact, I've seen more intimidating creatures on Buffy and Angel. What scares me is how it pops up out of nowhere with the loud sound. I'll try muting my TV and see if I can handle it then. I've tried my best not to complain about anything in this game, but I wish Ed Boon never put this in. I want to visit the Krypt in peace.
