Now Gamer has new excerpts from an interview with NetherRealm Studios Senior Producer, Adam Urbano, who promises big things of the still mysterious Injustice: Gods Among Us.

NetherRealm's first dedicated departure from the Mortal Kombat franchise will bring lessons learned from the 2011 blockbuster that put the dragon logo back on the map. Volume of content and quality of key features -- such as improved online netcode -- are the juiciest morsels provided by the superhero fighter's producer.

We also spent two years focused on netplay, realizing that nothing matters more for network play than launching with solid, great fundamental netcode.

Creative Director Ed Boon discussed the teams focus on netcode and key competitive features during press in August. The finished game is scheduled to hit home consoles April 2013.

Based on the iconic superheroes of DC Comics, Injustice will have plenty of material to draw upon in its beefed up content. A comic book inspired by the game launches at the end of this month, adding further context to the tale of conflict via Tom Taylor and Jheremy Raapack. Taylor's fellow Aussie, David Yardin, is expected to contribute, as well.

Injustice: Gods Among Us stars Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Deathstroke and many more. Read the full Urbano article on NowGamer.com. Discuss all things Gods Among Us on the DC Universe Injustice forum.
