i guess i can help with nw.

1) check is right b1 is not a free grab.


2) 2 gives a free grab ( 2 does 0% of damage.....2 is just a set up for a free grab)
112 is 98% safe and it give a free grab as well but in 112......2 does do damage.


3) 3 in waepon gives a free grab but only if you do it from a close range.

4) d,b,1 give you a free d,u,3 but only if you hit them with d,b,1 after they jump and they are still in the air.

5) i am not sure about this one but i think that 1 gives a free grab as well.

Check ~ could you tell me how your escaping it?

i have tried to escape these, i cant. only thing you can do is roll or just get up, you cant duck for 1 frame either. how are you avoiding the free throw? its a major timing free throw.







GDragon ~ 1st stance means Val Tudo. weapon means ~ T Hawks.


Riu ~ I ll re try that 2 free throw. i must have over looked it or not tried hard enough. does the 2 really do just 0%? LOL i Remember Cham having a 0% attack also. WTF even the basic stuff gets over looked by boon and company.

i will add that i had this drunk guy attacking my controller while doing NW.

after you roll you can backdash on the very first frame, if you watch it in slow motion, he starts the backdash 1) on the first frame AND 2) while he is still ducking/getting up/mid way up

tap up and back twice to backdash after a roll and you will avoid it. if you need a video of it, i will have no problem doing it for you and anything else you may need.

i will be starting a thread on how to use all the characters: match videos of all of them, maybe i will just post them here or something.

d3 on wall is a free throw ( Val tudo ) 2 is a free throw ( Val tudo )

i did post this also at the tko site

there is a way to cancel out their roll but its nearly impossible to do

as soon as they are about to roll, you jump over them and it will cause them to just stand up since you are over their head, the camera doesnt know which way to go so it just makes you stand up

another thing ive kept secret for a while ( actually i posted it in that glitch thread you had stickied in the mka forum before the game came out ) it was in mkd, also found by me. but doesnt reallyserve asmuch purpose as using QR to duck

its called duck canceling, you tap down and hold it on the first frame you recover after any low that starts with down ( d1 d3 d4 ) and your character will stand but really be ducking, it avoids all highs and throws and when down is let go at the same time a mid is done to you, and press block, YOU WILL BLOCK MID, seriously for some reason, blocking mid works 100% of the time with the duck canceling method, EVEN ONLINE, in mkd, for some reason, it was harder, ALOT harder, and didnt block all mids.

the downside to using duck canceling is its not as fast as doing QR on the first frame you recover to duck, there is about a 10 frame delay while using DC to duck. say for instance you did d1 and its blocked and you wanted to duck drahmins 11cs combo, if you used DC to duck, 11cs would hit you, but if you did QR, then ducked, it wouldnt. it takes a little longer, in fact, its too long to use in a high level match, but its still interesting, including the fact it makes you BLOCK MID like timing it like a parry, and pressing block as the mid is coming at you and letting go of down.

duck canceling will work off any low that starts with DOWN ( example: d3 d1 d4 )other then that it is nearly impossible to do, but works with any move by sliding your finger from back to down, on certain frames as steadily as possible. VERY HARD, but i have done it. even once vs konqrr in mkd.

ill make a vid for dc, but it was in MKEvolved i believe....

depending on the low, it really works well, subs shoto d1 being the best, or shaolin fist d1. other then that youre better off just using QR (jutsu) and ducking to duck faster, ( jutsu meaning the first and only frame QR lets you cancel now to duck quicker after moves,not as much unfortunatly )

wow, i just went ahead and capped a few things for the duck canceling, and i just realized something great about mka

YOU CAN BLOCK MID ANYTIME YOU DUCK

when you duck, hold down, then press block while you duck, then let go of down right as the mid is about to hit you and you will block mid EVERYTIME. you dont need to duck cancel for it, just duck, and time the hit coming at you, works EVERYTIME. this is very cool, in mkd, it was much harder for some reason. the frames seem to be much more full this time. weird, lol.

ill post a thread about it soon, along with DC, almost done with it. just gotta do 2 more things 1) in practice show how to DC ( the timing of when you press aka pressing down on the first frame you recover ) 2) show how to block mid ( the timing of prssing block while ducking and letting go of down )

wow sareenas ff1 is so easy to block mid, its pretty funny actually, i did just about all the useful mids the last 2 days, and im gonna release that along with the other vid.

i really want to play you too, i feel bad, but i dont know if i can do it tonight. im gonna PM you around 12 or 1, ok? maybe a little later, 2ish.

btw, something new i found last night with Duck Canceling, it works when you block low, lol. like you tap down and block to duck block, then hold down, and let go of block, and your character will stand, but really be ducking, its pretty cool, but hard to do.

but damn d1 shotokan is too good with duck canceling, i cant wait to make this little vid of both. the blocking mid stuff is awesome as well.

ill hit u up in a little while, oh, and

on the wall if you do that free throw, you will have to jump over me regardless if you wanted to try and throw off it. either way, after you jump over me, and i roll, i can backdash, i have room to either way you try to jump over me, because after i roll ill just roll along the wall, and remember, when you start the backdash you are ducking still. its a constantly moving frame, so it cant be thrown off of, not a stun or anything, its being done off of a roll.

for the record, there is no other way to avoid this free throw then backdashing after you roll

ima make a vid for it right now, and ill get it up sometime.

Forum Member HEY~NOW adds ~ It is also invincible on parry and on dissabling attacks such as smoke cloud and ice. What ever moves you try after parry or other dissablers will go rite through him. ill have to confirm this, im not 100% for sure. ill trust him for now.

thanks. i was trying forever to get the 44 w/ rain to work i just wasnt fast enough. your faster w/ the buttons so i trust you 100%.

i knew about the Bolt thing, but it kinda isnt a "free grab" so to say since his foe is disabled for a few ticks any way. ill add it just for the sake of adding it tho.

ok, i need to test things to make sure before i post them

1) d1 is not parryable, wtf? this whole time i thought it was

2) 44 is definitly a free throw, you just have to throw on the first frame u recover. ( cancel into a throw )

3) ill just have to test this to make sure, i could of sworn it was a free throw

and no problem dude, you know i love ya ; )

rains thunder bolt is definitly a free throw if you do either

1) ss throw at anytime.

2) if the thunderbolt sends them over you, walk up, and throw
