I got busted with an ounce of weed and 5 pills of aderol (Not my perscription) and my lawyer kept me out of jail. I got a 2000 dollar fine, AODA and 1 1/2 years of probation but no jail time.

As long as you don't have priors, you should avoid jail. you'll get a fine and some community service.

ah man, this horrible, shit was just starting to heat up on MKA online.
I knew a couple of dealers who got busted almost 5 years ago in their car with a few ounces of weed, pile of cash and 1 scale each and one of them hired a dope ass lawyer that got all the charges dropped, and the funny part was during their probation they were still selling weed to pay off the expensive ass lawyer but that's here in Canada, I believe in the states they are alot more hardcore in the judical system than here.

being a Criminal justice major and attending many trials like the case your describing i can suggest 2 things.

1) hire an attorney and file a supression of evidence on the premice it was legally obtained. Even if it wasnt, you never know how the judge may sway.

2) Take a plea bargain, in cases such as this charges are usually dropped substantially since many courts are to busy to spend alot of time on drug charges. Iv seen a dealer not two months ago get moved from a trafficking charge that would put him in jail, to another charge that got him 9 months Probation.

Well the guys told us if we 'give up some names' and work with them to bust some one else they will drop our charges.....what do u guys think?

Ive talked to a few people, and goin on the MKO legal adviser(doohoo), heres me n B's options..

1. If we snitch, itll go away, but well have jacnet fucking with us for a long time. :P

2. Get an attourney, get the charges lessend, or dropped.

my part...the only crime i believe i will be charged with is the keef that we shook from the shake (not oil). and i never admitting to having owned it....good chance i get off?

when I was 17 (about 8 years ago) I got roughed up by this fat fuck and his crew and they stole few hundred dollars off of me and few dozen hits of LSD which I had for sale. If i ever get busted for having huge amounts of pot on me, I am gonna tell them I got it from that fat bastard, eventhough I haven't seen him in many years, I know he still hustles. There's a difference between ratting people out and giving them what they deserve.
The problem is, are the cops gonna hold their end of the bragain? but if you got beef with a couple of peeps and you know they got huge amount of drugs on them (or if you wanna frame them) give up their names BUT then you probably gotta testify in court which is gonna make you look like a RAT.
anyways that's my 2 cents, but a lawyer is probably the best idea which is gonna cost you up the ass for a good one that's gonna get u out of this shit.

Just a thought I had....If you guys aren't sure that the cops will keep up there end of the agreement go down to the cop shop and get it in writing and have everybody sign it including the arresting officer, and it wouldn't hurt to have a witness like a dispacher or another cop sign it as well. That way if they do decide to fuck you over you can pull that piece of paper out and give it to the judge.

Like I said it's just a thought but it would definitly help get rid of some stress if you decide to go the way of the rat.
