I dunno somebody probably already discovered this so I may not get credited. What constitutes an infinite exactly? Because I was playing around on practice mode last night and found a combo that sort of loops indefinitely with itself. Scorpion's Kombo Challenge teaches us that you can link his 114 combo into his Hellfire Summon or Hell Slide specials. Well you can also like it into his Pro-Teleport sort of. There is enough of a pause between the 4 and the first teleport uppercut that the combo meter with hits and %dmg pops up but you can still almost indefinitely loop this until combo breaker, etc. occurs. Thing is each cycle of the combo does less dmg than the last.
My pseudo-infinite was Pro-Teleport, Spear, 114+(repeat).
1st cycle: 30%
2nd: 25%
3rd: 21%
4th: 19% (95% health total by this point)
5th: 15% (dead by this point)
6th: 12%
7th: 11%
8th: 10%
9th+: 8%
I got it up to 9 or 10 cycles on practice. Only 3 or so on computer because they used combo breakers. I don't know if it works on Dark Kahn or not.
Could somebody who is a better player than I check this for me. If it is indeed a sort of infinite can someone who can record stuff upload it to youtube or something (hopefully with some partial finders credit for me ::cough pleads cough::). Thanks. Keep me posted on this one. I'm far from a top player, mediocre at best, and this seems way too easy to be a true infinite.

Sorry for the double post I just didn't want the post to get burried. If somebody who's mastered Scorpion's pro-teleport could get back to me on what this combo would technically be considered (besides just cheap, lol) I would appreciate any feedback at all. lol. Thanks.
After the pro-teleport and spear, doesn't Scorpion then automatically go into a throw-like move where he whips his speared opponent around and over? Does the 1,1,4 combo come after the whip-around or am I doing something wrong?
Excuse my question if it's a stupid one. I'm prone to asking them periodically.

Oh sorry should have been more clear. Yes if you are at close range the pro-move will hit three times and the spear will be not cause stun but if you are at a distance or in the air he doesn't connect with that initial forward rushing strike and instead just pops them up with an uppercut and then juggles with another uppercut. After just the two hits the spear SHOULD end them stunned but standing giving you easy ability to do a 114 ending in the pro-teleport (he should automatically do the 2 uppercut version) into spear to restart the cycle. BTW thanks to those who responded to my post lol. I was starting to think nobody was going to and I really wanted to know if this was found already, etc.

Cant that be broken with a breaker?

I really wish the game wouldn't need to rely on breakers. Infinites simply shouln't the possible. But because they couldn't accomplish that small task, we have breakers in the game in the first place.
Midway Employe A: "Hey, did you notice that you can perform Infinites with practically every character? We need to fix that somehow."
Midway Employe B: "Just throw breakers in from the last games, that should take care of things."

I agree it shouldn't be possible and I hate Midways reliance on band aid mechanics as well, but if you offer the player combo freedom, there's going to be exploits. At least the put in something and tried to combat the problem. When we start seeing more stuff like Supes' ground pound nonsense then we have a real problem, if the loop is breakable with a breaker then use the tools that the game has given you to get out of it and punish your opponent for being a cheap bastard.

It seems I was right, while others were saying that it doesn't matter about trivial things like fatalities because we finally have a great engine. They were saying this before playing it.
News Flash: MK games are broken. This is no different, and even if it wasn't broken, it's still clunky as hell.

yeah it plays better than the last three but it still doesn't play as well as it should. although it is fun to play. Yeah, at least it looks like more fun to play than the last gen MKs. The combo system looks fun and is better than really limited dial-a-combos any day.

Other fighters have also been broken, such as MVC2, SC3 and some SF games have needed tweaking here and there. So it's not just MK man.
BTW, I know guys that play this game online and discovered the first infinites on the first few days. There is NO scorpion infinite....also some of these can be broken out of with Rage.
Superman's, Flash's and Lex's corner need patching but Scorpion doesn't have any that I know of and there's tons of high level Scorpion players over at mkunited.....
BTW, I'm not that concerned guys. Remember, there are patches this time around...SC4 had issues too the first month+ before being patched remember....
