An unnamed addition to the gameplay is in the form of X-Ray like aesthetics. When under attack, the visuals show the impact and the damage your opponent does to the muscle and skeletal frame of the player.

Which seems to be a stylistic iteration on the Test Your Might zoom-in mini-game from MKvsDC, if you wanted to give it a name.

Fun looking character based fatalities are back too, of course, along with the pit fall.

Test Your Might was running people through walls. The zoom-in boxing was called Close Kombat.

And the first post should be slightly amended because there was a brief shot of Shao Kahn in gameplay, not just FMV. He was the character model from MK vs DCU, that's how you can tell the difference.

As I said in the other thread, there's no proof those are intros. They could just be close-ups during gameplay or brief clips cut from story mode.

Given the number of characters, restriction on span of the games (1 thru 3), DLC, and the fact that characters such as Nightwolf and Sektor have been shown....I'm almost certain that my favorite Jade will be playable.

Damn I'm excited.

Them poses could potentially also be victory poses. In past MK games if you do not perform a fatality they pose or perform a martial arts stance. Or they could be kip up animations for transitioning to the next round.
I wish we could see atleast one full match between 2 players so we can see how it plays out.

From TRMK:

"Each character has some pretty amazing intro and victory animations. Sub-Zero materializes from ice. Reptile drops in and turns off his cloaking. Sektor shoots flames into the air in a V formation. A flaming hole opens in the ground and Scorpion leaps out of it."

Intros confirmed.

"When Scorpion won a fight he seriously burned a hole in the ground and dropped back in, then it cut to him landing in the Underworld and doing his victory pose with fire around him. Seriously."

Oh. My. God.

That is awesome.

It's probably not symbolic of anything, he's just spreading his arms in the air and shooting off flames, and a V is the shape that would make.

I hope there's more than one intro/outro per person.

That's one thing i found annoying with SFIV was everyone only had one intro and outro..got real old real fast.

I'm just glad that they're actually there; more would be nice, but I'll be happy with one, considering that they've never had intros before.
