Hrm
If i had to choose just one
I'd go with a Human Smoke with classic ninja gear
and an alt/MK3 era with more tech/robotic armour but still human.

I think it would look cool to have a Human Smoke wearing the robo ninja armour like he defeated a prototype and stole their gear.

The main problem is... momst of the people want HUMAN Smoke... OK let it be... But if he won't become a damn cyborg during this story why we need a cyborg character for him after all, which has no canon story.

Even as a DLC it would be boring, if we will get him but he has no canon story. other DLC character like example Rain could be easily be in the canon storyline.

Cyborg Smoke wouldn't... And I hate What If characters taken a spot of the roster with no use for the plot.

Same the other way around. If we get him as Cyborg why do we need him as human in the game, if the main storyline of him will be the cyborg one.

It's funny... people are bitching about Kratos even if he have no story in this game but wish a character taking a spot who has no future role after all.

That's why I'm saying I hope Smoke will be just partial robotized and we still have an human looking ninja with robotic parts and moves. Each of us would be happy and we really would have a unique Smoke in gameplay and look

They should put robo smoke in as ninja smokes alternate, keep his normal fighting the same, but change his special moves, best of both worlds and just 1 character slot used

Yeah right. Now that would be a letdown. Surprise, really? We have never had the real Human Smoke playable in 3d so far, so it makes perfect sense to make him finally playable. Cyborg Smoke in the other hand, along with the fog form, have been in MKD, MKU and MKA. Bezou's theory was fairly formidable though there is still a chance they will leave one or two individuals as secrets.

I personally can't wait to see Human Smoke back, hopefully he will become as stunning as his wingman just did. Reasons why it should be specifically Human Smoke, this time, I brought some HS Reflections intel in here.

-Younger Sub-Zero's best friend

-Finally human for a change due to time traveling

-Classic and mysterious secret character from
the most iconic Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II

-Human Smoke has never really been turn over
yet unlike the MK1 secret character Reptile has been.

-This poll held in Midway Boards beckons that Human Smoke should make it; out of his all three forms Human got 4/5 of all the votes. Massive demand.

-Story-wise this is the only possible chance for Human
Smoke to make it because at the time of the storyline
Smoke was about to be turned into a cyborg for life.

-Cyborg Smoke is the only cyborg who doesn't have any particularly
cyborg moves. That said Smoke is better as human.

-There must be more fighters in the Forces of Light this time around
if Raiden is to win Shao Kahn. Besides, Human Smoke has more depth compared to the latest incarnations; Fog Smoke was only a simple underling for Noob.

-The change of Smoke into Fog Smoke clearly indicates
that the developers tried to turn Smoke back into his human
form. It failed, but now there is a solid chance to fix that.

-Let's face it, Smoke will probably be in the game - but why to make
him worse than what he would potentially be?

-This Mortal Kombat is said to have lots of secrets.

-NRS has told us that one former cyborg may remain human
this time and vice versa. Considering that there were only
three whole cyborgs (plus Kabal and Jax relying on technology),
Smoke should now come back as human once and for all.

-Noob-Smoke Tag Team can be back!

There's only 2 forms of Smoke: Ninja and Cyborg. In MKT and MKD he was referred to as Ninja Smoke and Cyborg Smoke. It was in the MKT Kredits and his MKD Bio Kard. Most people can't acknowledge that fact.

Who says he won't? With Story mode apparently having about 3 hours' worth of cutscenes, there's time enough for him to be introduced, played up and developed as a human before he becomes a cyborg. Characters could very well appear during cutscenes that won't be initially playable.

He doesn't have to have two seperate character slots, but that's no reason to believe he won't be canon just because the cyber form has been mentioned as DLC.

And there is just no comparison with Kratos. Smoke is an MK character whose entire cyber-saga we've come to love and remember. Kratos is an outsider who belongs in his own fucking games.

We will get both human and cyborg forms of Smoke, guys, just deal with it,because Boon knows each of them has their own fanbases.(I think Human Smoke will be in select screen and Cyborg will be hidden)

Next reveal will be Baraka, because they will keep intriguing characters secret as much as possible,so after Baraka I think it will be Raiden.

Rain has a huge fanbase too and he doesn't have two models and he isn't in, so say bye bye too one of the smoke models.

If that were the case, it wouldn't be down to him and Sheeva on most people's lists of "These characters could make the chopping block and I wouldn't care".

Rain has his fans, but they're hardly legion.

First off i don't think we'd get both. Smoke's sound effects and special moves will most likely revolve around his game design. We know the MK team wouldn't create an all knew set of moves or even sounds effects for just one alt. They're too lazy.

And I doubt the next character will be Smoke because he's too similar to Noob in the sense that they're both previously hidden "ninja" type characters. So yeah, I'd say Raiden or somebody we already know about would be a good guess.

We will see who is right in the end,bro wink NRS are just teasing us )
I'm late to the conversation but I'm pretty sure we're getting human smoke from the audio. On a side note, what happened to steve ritchie? did he die somewhere? why is this weak sounding guy impersonating Shao Kahn?

That's just dull. You know, I can call him whatever I want; I can call him Man Smoke, Human Smoke, Humanoid Smoke, LK Smoke or the silver ninja. There remains the fact that "Ninja Smoke" does not specify whether you're talking about his elemental/fog/demon form or the classic/human embodiment.

Besides, this is an Internet forum and it is common that you name objects to a more conventional and informing form. Were you in the MK forums back when we anticipated Armageddon? Well, you may have noticed that created fighters were commonly called as KAKs (Kreate-A-Kharacter), the majority of us adopting it at ease, whilst they were KAFs (Kreate-A-Fighter) in reality.

Practicality, perhaps? Some people can't acknowledge that fact. So won't you stop griping about unessential things with a pertinent attitude in purpose to mislead from the main conversation, alright?
