I think that ship has sailed. They seem pretty hellbent on merging the two together.

I think if we want a concrete splatter stage fatality again we'll have to wait for the Sky Temple/Raiden's Temple.

These are all amazing. Love the flesh pits. I'm thinking that's going to be Mileena's special costume, because didn't the ESRB mention that a character was wearing nothing but scraps?

I don't like the street but it's the only stage...

The Portal, and Kombat Tomb arenas will be sorely missed. But the body of arenas that made the cut are amazing for sure.

The flesh pits reminds me of the movie Event Horizon. Same vibe and almost same setup with thing with the guy hanging above the lab table.

I love most of those! The flesh pits are my personal favorites, I also love the streets and soul chamber, wastelands are also beautiful! DAMN!

The Soul Chamber creeps me out. Freakin tentacles! I bet those things grab you and feed you to the soulnado.

I'm actually not a huge fan of these pictures in and of themselves. The quality etc is a bit meh, and I feel like they're missing far too much of the awesome little details

The arenas themselves look fantastic, so well designed and just epic beyond epic.

I'll b e interested to see the Flesh Pits execution in proper HD though. I'm not sold on the kitana experiments, how they've been rendered, but I'm quietly confident they'll look fantastic on a big screen.... and i'm sure there's stuff we're not even seeing on those images :) they're just select screen ones after all, yeah?

They're all incredible. Very creative, indeed. Flesh Pits/Lab is creepy as hell, to the point of being distracting. If anything in there moves, I'm out. Other highlights include Shang's Garden, The Street, The Rooftop (Night), and also The Pits Bottom.

First time I've gotten a really good look at the Pit Bottom, Netherrealm, and the Flesh Pit/Lab. I must say these levels are looking amazing. I love the Netherrealm... my favorite by far. Good to see ol' Cerberus looking good. lol.

Wow! These are so beautiful. I LOVE the Pit Bottom, the Soul Chamber, and the Evil Monastery.
It's great that there are so many variants of the same stage.

P.S. MvC3 can suck it! How many stages were there? 6? 8?
