2 all the way. 1 is not bad, but he looks more like a vicious mutant in 2. His teeth are a bit too lengthy in 1. And I miss his head spikes.

Definitely, number one. A lot more menacing. Especially with the black, soulless eyes (correction: yellow; thanks, Queve .) The teeth are much better, too. They look much better longer and thinner. #1 has very nightmare-ish, severe-looking teeth (something you would not see in nature.) However, it would be nice if he had those little spikes on his head and neck.

The second version just looks plain goofy. Something about his face seems....ape-ish? Also, his teeth are WAY too small. He's got, like, a shark's mouth. And it just looks like too much is going on. The glowing red eyes, the goofy shark grin, the roided-out muscles, the bumpy, wrinkly head, etc. It's just too much.

This is a tough choice for me, I like the thick blades and soulless eyes of 1 and the teeth and head spikes of 2. If I had to choose, I'd guess I'd pick 1 by a very slim margin.

1 by FAR, 2 looks retarded.

I like both, but, I definitely prefer the #1.

He doesn't have the black "eye-less" eyes anymore though. That was only in MK2-MKT. He is still featuring the yellow colored pupils.

I agree that the black pupil-less eyes makes him more menacing and intimidating, but, it is nice to see some detail of emotion in his character. Hopefully the eyes will show that this time around (unlike before).

I like the first one more. I would like the 2nd one, but his face just looks daft

1 but I'd give it 2's head spikes (which were also down the back of his neck) because I like the idea that the little bone spurs are more spread out and not just on the forearms around the blade.
Plus his bald forehead looks a little boring.

I like one betterbecause of the forhead, but I do miss the head spikes.

Looks like everyone seems in agreement with the head spikes so far.

Loved the samurai pants and the MK2 top Razor, thats what i was hoping for in this game. oh well still not a bad look though.

They should just fire the whole art team and hire Razor instead.

Lol. Well excuuuuuuse me for not knowing about the teeth of every deep-sea fish!
I meant from the teeth he has in this picture. More of a mouthful of tightly-packed, needle-shaped, uneven, long teeth. Reminds me of a piece of Stephen Gammell artwork. (Not exactly what I mean, though.)

What kind of fish is that anyway? I'd say an angler, but it doesn't have that light thing...

Enjoy the head spikes, but I'd go with #1 by a long shot. I miss the blacked-out eyes (and his creepy forward-walking animation from II and Trilogy). He looked way more alien back in the day.

Well, it's not like his blades are smaller in Version 2, it's more like his arms have the girth of trees.

But yeah, I prefer Version 1, by far. In fact, even to specify further, NOT the version from MK Gold, where he had staples in his head.
But overall, yeah, I prefer the slimmer version with no spikes on his head. Classic all the way.

AH!! Oh God, did someone open up the Ark of the Covenant? lol
