Boon has deconfirmed 6 characters... (Two actually relevant)...

Boon has seemingly deconfirmed a number of characters on his twitter over the last hour or so...

Hsu Hao
Drahmin
Tremor
Ed Boon (I know, I know, but I HAVE seen people suggest him)

And most interestingly (since these two have been discussed possibilities, unlike those other four who we already knew didn't have a chance)...

Shinnok and Fujin

He's pretty much flat out said no to all of them. Check it out...

He's also confirmed Skarlet "shant" get a Klassic costume. (Which I think is a mistake, so I say we continue bugging him about it.)

And finally, when asked about another guest character, he once again says he can't disclose anything. (Which really worries me, because usually when they can't disclose anything, it means they have something to disclose... and I don't want a guest character.)

Now, beyond all that, two more things strike me as noteworthy here, in this series of tweets...

One is, he made a number of tweets in a faux medieval voice... he could be dropping a clue, or he could just... be in a weird medieval mood. Dunno.

Two is, his final tweet of the night links to a video for some kind of MK ripoff game called "Tattoo Assassins" Could be a clue or... could just be something he finds funny 'cause it's an MK ripoff...

My first thought was maybe the 4th character is the protagonist from Assassin's Creed? (I've never played them, don't know names, sorry) I could just be grasping at straws there but... it is a very popular series that's not exclusive to Xbox or PS3, and they DO have a new title coming out in a couple months, so I'm sure they wouldn't mind the extra publicity... and it is rather medievalesque... kinda.... sorta... and does involve killing people alot... and has the word "Assassin's" in the title...

Like I said, could be nothing but me grasping at straws but...

Thats good, I think Shinnok and Fujin will be more relevant in MK10, I'd be happy to wait for them.

After seeing Skarlet, Kenshi, and Rain, I am of the opinion no matter who the 4th DLC character is they would be awesome. EXCEPT if it is a guest character that would such a monumental waste I... I don't think words would be able describe it.

So here's hoping he's just fucking with us, knowing how over speculative the MK community can be.*raises glass*

Okay, granted, I WOULD rather have Cyber Smoke than a guest character.

But I'd rather have pretty much any other MK character over a Cyber Smoke. (I don't hate the look, or the moves, I can just live with the Smoke we have already. *Shrug* I could easily do without Cyber Sub-Zero too.)

Oh PS. I didn't bug him in the first place... he never answers my damn tweets, lol. I just caught onto the fact he'd been tweeting.

It doesn't bother me Drahmin won't be DLC for this game but he BETTER be in the next game because it would absolutely make complete fucking sense for him to be there...

Also it would be weird to see Altaïr Ibn la-Ahad or Ezio Auditore da Firenze in Mortal Kombat.

I agree. There fatalities would be lame or weird. They wouldn't fit in like Krafos or like the rest of the MK cast

Tanya was also denied in June:

Latest speculation is that she might be included as DLC after the season pass.

Characters with slim chances of showing up as DLC include Kira, Li Mei, Mavado, Mokap, and Havik according to Ed's twitter.

Your proof that the shadow isnt the the character is the same as my proof that it is.

The 4th is Paxton it makes to much sense and he would fit.

I understand where you're coming from but I'd rather have characters that make sense and easily fit into the MK1-3 timeline than ANY other character.

I don't hate the Smoke we have already and until we get unmasked subbie I'm not using his goofy haired primary. But Cyber Smoke would be fine as a last hurrah before he gets forgotten about forever I don't see them not doing anymore DLC after this summer and a noncanon Cyborg from an alternate universe wouldn't be such a horrible thing now that A-listers like Rain and Kenshi are done and the B-listers like Tanya Reiko and C.Smoke have a chance.

Still I'd rather people bug him about those 4 so we know if it's possible they'd be DLC. People like Jarek Meat and Mokap either get a flat out no or a witty retort which basically amounts to no.

And yes they've never confirmed a character but their hints are never really contradicted.

I still remember Boon's tweet last year about him taking issue with the gameinformer article on who they don't want (No Stryker, No Sheeva, No Palette Swaps) in the next MK game.

And now look what we have Swaps Stryker and Sheeva.

If you understand his humor you can get a pretty good idea of what could be.

Also shame on you for twitter stalking..kidding I've been doing it since October...alright fine since MK9 was shown at E3 last year. v_v
