NHL Playoffs - Stanley Cup: Boston Bruins vs Chicago Blackhawks

Plus with the Drive By getting recently closed and the cup round being finalized tonight. I thought what better than to start an official thread for the NHL Playoffs.
The Boston Bruins clinched their spot a few days ago, sweeping the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Los Angeles Kings in 2nd overtime a little while ago. Setting up a Stanley Cup Playoff between the two Original 6 teams.
Feel free to discuss.

Sorry but Bruins are going to win IMO. They came back from being down 3 goals in the first round in a game 7 to win. They managed to hold a team that has averaged 5 goals a game this post season, to only 2 goals in the entire series and shut them out twice and has held the best players in the league scoreless.
I don't think Chicago is going to have it easy down low in the offensive zone or on the back check like they did with LA.
It should be a good series none the less.

Chicago is going to win this series. They are deeper on defense and have better scoring at the top of the lineup. Plus, Horton is possibly gone for the series. Hawks in 6.

It's going to be a great series but if I have to guess I'll say Blackhawks in 7 and that really hurts me to say that as I'm a Blues fan lol

Game 1 was Definitely a bummer for Bruins fans, but I still think there going to win it, in 7 games. They collapsed in the later part f the game. I expect them to come back in game two and play much more disciplined and play the way they did in the opening of tonight's game.
I really wasn't surprised with how the Bruins opened up the game. Chicago struggled down low and on the back check. Boston is going to have to keep that up and find a way to slow Chicago down in the neutral zone and coming out of their own zone. As far as I'm concerned its the Bruins series to loss, they have to stop shooting themselves in the foot.

Homer pick, but Bruins in 7.
Wouldn't be surprised to see either team win this one. I have family in Chicago (Hoffman Estates), and I can't find myself hating the Black Hawks. I'm more happy that it is:
1. An original six matchup
2. Not the Penguins, Canadiens, Sharks, or Canucks.
I'd be disappointed if the Bruins lost, but at the same time, we're talking President Trophy winners in Chicago. At least I got to see the Bruins destroy the Penguins.

Well the Bruins managed to tie the series up tonight at 1 game a piece. I think all Bruins' fans where worried they where going to choke after the way they where playing in the first period. Good thing they pulled it together.

I guess if its any consolation to us Bruins fans. Local Boston sports news is reporting that Patrice Bergeron playing in tonight's game with both a broken rib and separated shoulder.
The Bruins where definitely not 100%.
The Bruins where definitely not 100%.

Neither were the Hawks.

Since there seems to be a number of Bruins fans on the site, some news comming out today about the team. Bergeron had a small hole in his lung.
Also going into next season, it looks like Jagr, Ference and Pandolfo will not be back with the team.
