Awesome, thanks for sharing! That interview confirmed a few things for me, but ultimately left me wanting even more clarification. lol
Can't wait to see Cassie's origin story, and definitely excited to get more info on Kotal and D'vorah's backstories.

I don't feel like opening a thread about this, so I'm just going to post it here.
There's a synopsis written for Issue #5 on Google Play, confirming another post-Trilogy character that will make an appearance:
Very interesting. It's going to be agonizing waiting for each issue.

Frost going down the same path as Hsu Hao? I'll laugh my ass off if they kill all these "redundant" post-MK4 characters in the comics

Hmm...
People are already saying Hsu Hao was infinitely more threatening and interesting in his incredibly brief comic appearance than he had been in 13-ish years.
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)I don't particularly care for Frost, but I certainly would be interested in seeing how she's portrayed. Hopefully, her appearance spans a bit longer than Hsu Hao's. I wonder who's her mentor this time around, though?

I wouldn't be surprised. At the end of the day, her design was great, but ended up as a bland character. What a waste of a good design.
Most of the post MK4 character were unimportant, under baked, or pointless. For me it is upsetting that, the MK team of writers are still trying to clean up their own mess they started in all post MK4 games. OLD ideas with new twists are so cheap. At this point , I feel like when watching the Star Wars prequels , in terms of " lets get this over with".
Back to work , I go.

More like Kittelsen has access to the entire Mortal Kombat universe and wants to use these characters however he wants, but whatever you say...

Sounds like...
The whole synopsis sounds amazing and I can't wait to see what's in store for Mortal Kombat! I feel as if they're aiming to completely re-invigorate the series.
All of this, along with possible casting calls, just screams FRESH to me.
So, indeed it IS a good time to be an MK fan.
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
They are off to a great start by breaking the crusty molds characters like Scorpion have continuously had. The introduction of, not just another character, but a NEW character into his storyline? I like this.

If Kotal killed Sonya, I think his and Cassie's intro dialogue would be a lot different.

True.
I'm all hyped to that kind of video that lasts one hour full of dialogues. I'd watch it more than once.

With how Kenshi and Bo Rai Cho look to be getting quite a bit of focus, I think that's far from the case.

Thanks!
All this talk of Bo Rai Cho is giving me hope for his playability in MKX. He's gotta be, he's just gotta be....
