Dacascos & Tee Not Returning for Third Webseries

Lead actors Mark Dacascos and Brian Tee will not be reprising their Mortal Kombat: Legacy II roles as Kung Lao & Liu Kang. Dacascos confirmed the departures via Twitter, sharing his upbeat hopes for incoming director Garrett Warren, "... Garrett and team will make it amazing."

The third live-action Mortal Kombat webseries began production early this week. Legacy II stars Casper Van Dien (Johnny Cage) and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Shang Tsung) have flagged their returns. Some recasting has been rumoured.

Despite not being under the razor-tipped hat, Mark Dacascos will still have a spiritual presence in the 2015 serial: Last September, he and Van Dien posted photos from a shared training session.

Could you clarify the "spiritual presence" part of the article ?

I hate how inconsistent these webseries are. The first one was great. The second one was terrible (we didn't even get to see Kung Lao in action) and the third one, who knows.

The whole thing is just so all over the place.

Ugh.

Never liked Mark Whatever as Kung Lao but Tee's Liu Kang was my favourite thing about Season 2.

Guess that cliffhanger/storyline will never be resolved, meanwhile we can look forward to a couple more recasts.

That's a shame. I'm disappointed at how MKL2 ended. Now it sees like it's mkx related. Is it still, being called legecy season 3 or should it be considered a Seperate series
