RE: Kollector s Edition Revealed

Ah you beat me to it. Here's the description from IGN.com:
BY LUKE KARMALI: Warners Bros. has revealed a number of different special editions of Mortal Kombat X, all of which are available to pre-order now.

The Kollector's Edition by Coarse, Kollector's Edition and Limited Editions will only be available for PS4 and Xbox One, while the Premium Edition is available for all platforms.

First up, The Kollector's Edition by Coarse costs $150 and comes with a Scorpion figurine and accompanying Certificate of Authenticity. An in-game skin for the ninja based on the figure will also be included. Finally, you'll get the Kombat Pack, which includes four additional unnamed fighters who will apparently be a mix of older Kombatants and guest characters.

The standard Kollector's Edition is apparently imported from Europe and costs $180. It will only be available through Amazon. It includes a Scorpion statue, a steel pack and card, the in-game gold Scorpion Skin, the Kombat Pack and Mortal Kombat X: Blood Ties Comic Book Volume 1.

The Limited Edition costs $95 and can only be pre-ordered at Gamestop. It comes with an exclusive Scorpion Skin inspired by the Cold War, and the Kombat Pack. Finally, the Premium Edition is download only, costs $90 and comes with the Kombat Pack.

Sure is Scorpion in here.

Disappointed that the skin is...gold Scorpion.

I can imagine Ed wanted this for himself.

The box is sexy that's for sure

The iconic fighters will hopefully have Smoke in it

Multiple guest characters gives me hope for Ash and Jason.

I'll still get it cause I'm a good goy like that.

Standard edition is all I've ever needed.

But if I did want the Kollector's edition before today I'd be disappointed with what's offered because that Scorpion statue looks like shit and the other "bonuses" are not worth it.

Interesting that they don't specify if the Kombat Pass characters are DLC characters available for anyone to purchase. I would assume so but it would be a convincing reason for people to buy the Kollector's Edition if there are 4 characters they can only get through it.

Otherwise these seem underwhelming for anyone not a Scorpion fan.

I presume the "Kombat Pack" is just another name for "Season Pass" which nearly every game does nowadays that includes all future DLC for a slightly lower price than buying it all separately.

If they locked out 4 more characters in addition to Goro that would be the biggest dick move in recent gaming history so I really doubt that would happen

I agree. That also bring up a good point that there should be more than 4 DLC characters with this announcement. 4 of them with the Kombat Pass and Goro separately as a pre-order bonus.

Not a fan of Scorpion but really like the look of the statue. If this comes to the U.K I'll get it. Kombat pack screams multiple dlc packs to me e.g Arena pack, costume pack etc...

RE: Kollector s Edition Revealed

That Scorpion figure is baddass. Fantastic redesign. It looks like Scorp if he was in the Justice League Unlimited cartoon or something. Plus you get that skin? Pretty damn cool.

However I only really care about that Kombat Pack with 4 characters, so Ill prolly go with the Game Stop version.

Good shit, WB! This bodes well for future skin packs and other fun DLC.

I'm into it. Kinda bummed there isn't a tournament stick though. I do have to wonder though if the US will get different versions.

Frankly disappointed.
Not at all interested in Scorpion figurine. Also the cover art is pretty bland and I'll just get the vanilla version.
