The New Line Cinemas / Turner / Warner Bros. Connections Explained

As many of us know, Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins was open by Turner Home Video on the VHS. In 1995 a special TNT special, Behind the Dragon, was aired and then the movie premiered with WCW wrestlers hosting in 1998 before WB picked up Conquest in 1999.

But how did it all begin and can any sense be made out of it?

Yes it can and I'll finish this article later.

January 1994, 8 months before Mortal Kombat began production, Turner acquires New Line. This is officially completed in 1996. Source: http://articles.latimes.com/1994-01-28/business/fi-16459_1_production-schedule

2008, Warner Bros. buys New Line.
