Prepare Yourself: Shang Tsungs Fight Night & MKO Meet & Greet

This weekend the Mortal Kombat community will be coming together for a special event tomorrow—Saturday, October 27th—in Brookfield, Indiana. Galloping Ghost Arcade, arguably one of the nation’s largest arcade venues will be hosting Shang Tsung’s Fight Night. This event open to the public is an intimate setting with the Mortal Kombat legends—including various actors from the original Mortal Kombat game releases. The guest list provided below will be in attendance for an informal meet and greet setting, but will also open up the opportunity for fans to get autographs and photos with their favorite MK stars. There will also be various tournaments available for titles including Mortal Kombat (1992), Mortal Kombat II, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and Mortal Kombat 4. The cost of the event is included in the $20 admission to the arcade. The event itself is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm Central.

The announced guest list includes:

  • John Parrish – Jax (MKII & UMK3)
  • Phillip Ahn, M.D./Shang Tsung MK2 – Shang Tsung (MKII)
  • John Turk – Sub-Zero, Shang Tsung, Scorpion (UMK3)
  • Brian Glynn – Shao Kahn (MKII & UMK3)
  • Christopher Alexander – Johnny Cage (MK Trilogy)
  • Other surprise guests

During the event on Saturday, make sure to catch our special live Twitch Stream event where we will be doing a special episode live from the event at 3:00 pm Central! There will be special giveaway opportunities live on the air. We will also be having a candid discussion as we look back at the last 20 years of Mortal Kombat Online. You do no want to miss out!

Also, we wanted all fans in the area to be aware all of the original staff members of this website will be at the Level 257 in Schaumburg, Illinois, tonight (October 26) at 7:00pm for dinner and games. If you are a fan of MKO and would like to hang out with our team, this is your chance. Feel free to send us a message on our Discord channel if you plan on joining us. Members in attendance include CCShadow, Scott-Howell, D’ArqueBishop, and ]{0MBAT (tabmok99).

Make sure to follow us on the official Mortal Kombat Online channel on Twitch to get notifications when we go live on Saturday afternoon. And as always, be sure to register and leave a comment on the discussion forums and follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

Boon was there. I think that was the first time he's ever attended one of those fan events. Must've been pretty awesome.

Well, you all got your Tremor now. Can we finally move on?

It was really cool. Got to meet Ed Boon in person (even for a few seconds) was awesome. John Turk stole the show, for me. I've been a Sub-Zero & Lin Kuei fan from the start of it all, and my first ever costume (as a young adult) was UMK3 Sub-Zero in high school (Which was a closet cosplay, but still). :)

I am an old fan of the Mortal Kombat series of games, I drew a lot of characters in childhood even now. Even I write my assignment about this game for school, I spent too much time playing.
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero was released for sale six months before the release of the arcade MK4. We were offered an action, consisting of 8 levels that will have to pass, playing for Sub-Zero. As you progress through, we discover the plot of the game, and the hero gains experience over time, significantly adding to his battle arsenal. The game also contains magic items that help our hero, for example, such as the well-known potion.

Some time ago, I saw a video about how a project was created, showed shooting scenes, and Ed Boone himself commented on the creative process.
