Hey guys. I've extracted all of the text from MK:D's Krypt, and organized it into a nice webpage (130KB, no images). The text has not been human-edited at all, beyond what was done at Midway. This text has, rather, been generated from the available hexadecimal values (222KB) within the krypt.ssf file on MK:D's game disc.
Let me know if you find any errors.
UPDATE: Koffin values have now been added, code cleaned up, and parallel directions script added.

Thanks, you pwn.
Someone get a Konquest HTML guide going, please. Perhaps one complete with maps, pictures of items, characters, locations, etc, etc.

Pretty awesome stuff right there. If this keeps up, FAQs might become obsolete.
I'll take a guess:
1) He copied the Krypt file off the disc (Xbox version, I assume, because I can't find said file on the PS2 version, but, strangely, there's an .XBM file on the PS2 version - isn't that an Xbox sig file?).
2) He opened the file in a hex editor, and copied it into a text file.
3) He wrote a PHP parser to read from the text file and convert that into HTML, which doesn't seem to be as hard as it sounds, given that a lot of the stuff in that file looks like ASCII text. Then there are probably breaks that specify where a koffin's price is, its item's description, etc. Don't take that first sentence the wrong way, though, because I have no idea how to write a parser that'd do that.

Very good. The different text fields are separated by the hexadecimal value "00" (or \x00), which I search for with my PHP script. Logically, the Krypt data is like such: [main name of koffin] \x00 [description] \x00 [next name of koffin] etc., so my script counts how many 00's it finds and builds the HTML accordingly.
The koffin codes were generated by numbering each block of krypt data up to 20 (T = 20th letter of the alphabet), then setting itself back to 1 to continue for the next row. Then I used regular expressions to replace the numbers with letters.
Interestingly enough, I found extra data beyond koffin code TT, but it isn't anything of importance. Just things that are available when the game is started (main character bio's, stages, trading cards?).
Edit: I just re-read what you said, and I think I misunderstood you. I copied the hexadecimal code and parsed it like that instead of using its ASCII equivalent, due to the fact that my hex editor renders "00" as ".", which, when parsing, would be impossible to distinguish between other periods.

has every single listing in the krypt and every special and finishing moves for each character. to unlock sindel, go to netherrealm and look around there.
anyone know when you can unlock kira? i've been to grid h2 (earthrealm) so many different times and hours but all i find is kobra who wants to fight. you can get his alt costume but i want to unlock kira.

That list doesn't have every single listing in the krypt.
To unlock Kira, go to H-2 in Earthrealm and go in one of the 2 houses at a certain time of day, I forgot when.

Hey I think the krypt is great, but i was wondering if someone could also through in locations on it as well, so that we can find out how to unlock some of that stuff. 1 more t hing, does any1 know how to get shujinkos spear throw(scorpion move) along with the sindel foot grab. Meaning does any1 know these locations?

Hey guys. I've just finished implimenting how much each koffin costs (as per request). Once I am presented with a guide on where each key is, I will impliment that in as well (maybe the "Requires Key" text will be a link to a PHP script which will tell the location of where to find it). If anyone is interested in writing a PHP script with the krypt data, I have saved the koins array in a text file.
As always, please let me know if there are any errors. I typed all of the koffin values myself, so there might be some inconsistencies. If there are, tell me and I'll fix them ASAP.
