hi dudes,

maybe noone knows me, cuz i am an european player, but some of the best players in europe asked me to write this guide..so i show u some tricks i learned by myself when contemplating :>.


first of all, i want to say it's great fun to play shujinko because of his cool combo damage. to play jinko effectivly ur game is just based on drawing off the breakers of the enemy and then kill him with 1-2 combos. there are many tricks to get rid off this fucking breakers and i will show these in my thread.



mantis

1 1 1 cs 44 cs

this are the holy moves for victory. whenever u launch the enemy with tele slam or throw switch to mantis and kick the enemy's ass with that combo. u can add the scissor kick, but i am not a great fan of it. often the scissor kick fucks the enemy against the wall and ur combo will end and is not as effective as that simple chain combo. maybe when u play with stage fatalities, u can do the scissor kick at first after the launcher and kick the enemy out of the ring.


f+4 1 1 cs 4 4

use this combo if ur opponent wants to attack. u will avoid his moves and after the combo u can throw him.
if the enemy blocks ur attack, d+1 in 2. stance will save ur day :>
this combo is also useful, if ur enemy is lying on the floor and u wait until he stands up. wait a moment and do the combo, it works.. :>

1 1 2 b+2
---> if connects, tele slam u+4 1 1 1 cs 4 4 cs

use this combo, if u successfully blocked an attack and u want to counter him. Sometimes u can even abuse this combo because of lag. the good enemies will block the last hit, too, but immediately do a tele slam... it works :>


otherwise i rarely use the mantis style for anything else, it has no mid launchers, and hell yeah, a fucking mid launcher is the best u can do to bash the enemy
so turn on the shaolin ultra super mode and follow me... :)))))


Shaolin Style

haha, here it is, our super mid launcher, hehe and it's more useful in the 50/50 mixup then 4 or 1 2 4 or 1 4 4 and free throw.. moreover f+1 is the best solution after blocking
cuz after it, like scorpion, do the spear and then start the combo ownage ^^ (the spear doesn't work after the grab or tele slam or whatever!)
---> 1 1 1 cs 4 4 grab 1 1 1 cs 4 4 cs

woohoo, omg if the enemy has got no more combo breakers... he is dead ^^

d+1

very good low move, very fast. it helps alot evading attacks and do it when u duck a high attack/combo. (example: jinko mirror match: f+4 1 1 cs... the first 4 moves are high, so interrupt with d+1 before the sucking 4 4 moves:>)
i don't often use the b+4 move, although it is good, too.
but in some special situation it is a good idea (thx to galactic)
while rushing the enemy, u can achieve to lead a blocking master
into a 50/50 mixup position. for example after d+1 (works good after a
blocked 1 4 4 combo or somethin like that) u can add b+4. the enemy
won't roll away and u can start a 50/50 game

a lot of people only use 1 4 4 combo or something, but the first hit isn't that fast. so u need this move aswell, not only f+1 because of the lack of speed
it's good for beginning a 50/50 mixup, sometimes the enemy can duck after it
i think it is depending on lag or something like that lol
but i recognized that either it works the whole game or not.. lol
if it isn't working just do f+1, if that hits, it's even better ^^
and the most enemies are ducking after 4

1 2 4 / 1 4 4

i don't use the combo that often, i don't know, either f+1 or 4
but it can be useful if the enemy is blocking the whole time ur shit, u can sometimes extend the combos, especially the 1 2 4 thing
1 2 4 cs 1 or 1 4 4 cs


Weapon Stance

lol forget the weapon stance
it's only fun to use offline
u+2 (mid launcher) and at least 75% combo ownage


Special moves/tricks

the huge amount of special moves should be used in advantage when playing shujinko, there are a lot of tricks to kick away some combo breakers


the ice breeze is very useful to get rid off breakers. use it in mid range or far away from the enemy. the short recovery time is the big plus of this special move, so don't use the spear (only if the enemy walks up straight to ya/ the spear comes out faster than the ice breeze)
this one is better. some players will evade this projectile and walk up to ya, but then immediately use the spear, hehe, a bit surprised, bastard? :>>>
always when u hit the enemy with the ice shot, do the spear to evade the damage reduce (dunno, glitch?), and start the 1 1 1 cs 4 4 grab 1 1 1 cs 4 4 combo (ownage, i love it ^^)

the flaming fist is good for rushing and surprising the enemy, lol forget the flying jinko move, it's a poor move, not worthy the other good jinko moves

the flip scissor kick is good in combos, in other respects don't use it

the bicycle kick, like the flying jinko, is useless

the slide is a good low move, though. it's often surprising if u don't do that too often :P, lol but it's very bugged when u kick someone out of the ring ^^ test it :>

the opponent/ tele slam is a nice move, it connects mid and together with slide u can combine a mid range 50/50 game
whenever it connects, do f+1 and switch to mantis(or in mantis u+4) and execute the standard combo 1 1 1 cs 4 4 cs
use it very often, for example for duckers or blind rushers. whenever a enemy is not fully concentrated u can kick his ass with that move.
sometimes use the tele slam right in the beginning, typing it very fast about to the ending of the word "Fight" (thx to crkfiend :p)


so that were just a few simple things, not my whole secrets lol :p ^^
no kidding, i hope it helps at least a bit and my english is not too bad :D

hrhr my thanks goes to crkfiend (who inspired me with the first match videos online, although he is mantis only player) and all other jinko dudes, konqrr (who really helped me with his whole video stuff on his webpage www.konqrr.com), m2dave(one of the guys who knows a lot about the game and he always gives good character tips),galactic/jax-wins (in my opinion the best european player ^^) and frostie/t-x (der dopemann^^, the one who is allowed to learn for his studies the whole time :(, poor guy)

the combos usually work all, the free grab doesn't work all the time but i think it's cuz of lag

but this guide shouldn't be especially a combo guide
it should show advanced shujinko gameplay
the best combo online with jinko is really that f+1 + spear thing

if u want a good shujinko combo (but not helpful when playing online)test this 94% one in weapon stance

spear, sidestep second spear u+2 scissor kick+cs scissor kick 1 1 1 cs 4 4 cs

if u don't know how 2 times spear look like or scissor kick+cs at the same time

although i just started playing shujinko today, i think i'll start playing only with mantis, its looks good enough stance...

after i'll get used to it, i'll start trying out shaolin fists as well.

nice guide man.i told ya that ur one of the best Shujinko players on pal if not teh best.

u can add b+4 on shaolin fist too...rush teh opponent with 144 or f+4 1 1 cs 4 4 , if they block d+1 and then b+4...most gd players block high after d1 coz they think i will do 1 4 4 or standing 4...and they eat the b4 haha ^^

after b4 u have a free 50 50 coz they cant roll after it

I got a question....

when i'm playing Shujinko, and someone keeps sidesteping me, is there a good move i can do except maybe falming fist?

no, i don't believe so

if the enemy surrounds u, flaming fist will be the best thing to work

Wow, good guide. Atlhough, to my opinion it is not that bad to use flying jinko sometimes, cause the opponent doesn't always expect it, especially when he ducks and blocks alot

Here is a combo:
You must have all or most of Shujinko's moves. First, make sure you are in Mantis. To start, use Sub-Zero's Freeze move to get a free shot in. While your opponent is frozen, press Away, Triangle for a pop-up attack. While in the air, do Scorpion's Spear. At this time, your opponent has hit the ground and the Spear has hit him, allowing you to continue the combo. Once you bring him toward you, press Square(2), Triangle, Away, Triangle. This should pop up your opponent in the air again. Next, do Ermac's Telekinetic Slam. Your opponent should bounce back to you. Before he hits the ground, press Square(3), L1, Triangle, Circle, X. After doing this, you should have performed an unseen combo which should give you 15 hits and about 35% damage. The second way to do this is as follows. The second combo is the same as the first, except instead of doing the Telekinetic Slam, do Liu Kang's Bicycle Kick. This would make it also 15 hits and about 35% damage. If you are lucky enough, when on a death trap level, the Bicycle Kick could put them in the trap and kill them. In Mantis style, press Up + Triangle for the pop up, then execute Lei Mei's flip kick, and quickly do Lu Kang's Bicycle Kick afterwards for a 41% damage wowwow

A good combo with Shujinko is, switch to Shaolin Fist, Grab your enemy, then while they are in the air, press >+Y (for gamecube owners) and It will send your enemy flying and do a lot of damage.
