Do you mean the character that shows up when you use gamegenie to change the character select variable one past Rain? I remember scorpion with no specials, combos, or fatalities. Does it say chameleon in the energy bar or something?

The same exists in the SNES version. In SNES the name in the energy bar is Rain and the character has Scorpion's pallet and he has no specials or fatalities. That just seems like a glitch to me. The character select variable for all the ninjas is similar, so I figured there were a few bits in it that told the comp to use the ninja sprites and some other bits told it to use certain pallets. Without a proper pallet bit it just used scorpions, and not bit told it to pick a move list so it has none.

Interesting. I did not realize it had the name. I guess they got that extra step farther then SNES did. Its kind of a shame. Chameleon would have been an interesting add on to 16 bitters and they probably could have handled it. Not sure if there would have been issues with Genesis' pallet limits, but it still would have been cool.

That's cool. I didn't know Chameleon existed before mkt. I wonder who came up with the idea, and why it's only on certain home consoles. It reminds me of the Fergality on Genesis mk2. I'm going to go on a tangent here. How do u do the fergality again? And does anyone know what the deal is behind it? I thought maybe there was some guy named Fergusen the programming team was making fun of, like some inside joke. But why only genesis? I like these weird mk easter eggs.
