Wondering which of these concerns you most of all right now, we have the bird flu spreading slowly around the World, Terrorist always on the threat just about anywhere at any place at any time especially with the Holidays coming up.Then we have of course Natural Disasters rising lately.Katrina, a few months ago, that EarthQuake in Pakistan, Wilma in florida. There was of course the Tsunami a while back.

All of these are major concerns imo, and should be delt with. This is what i think the Terrorists are so unpredictable, however i feel safe with my countries guard, still i always keep my eyes open.

Natural Disasters are also unpredictable, whether it's a hurricane, tornado, tsunami, earthquake, volcano, bad storm or whatever. Most of the time the weather people know their facts even though they are sometimes wrong.

Now for the Bird Flu, honestly i feel that this is the most important right now in time, it's making headlines here and there and i recently saw on CNN that they found a case of it in Canada, now it's just a matter of which form the mild one, or the deadly one.Hopefully the mild because if it hit Canada it's sure to make its way to the USA.

Anyway, hopefully the doctors here are better prepared then the other side of the world, i mean it seemsto be a very similiar situation with the S.A.R.S. virus a few years back, in china people were dropping like flies, yet here i think one person died. The medicine here is a lot better and more powerful in lots of cases.

I hope they prepare and do the same with this Bird Flu.Whats your take though?smile

there all pretty scary thoughts, all the disasters natural and man made i.m.o. are just a prelude to something much worse.

But then again that can be just my religious upbringing getting in the way.

Anyways man food for thought i suppose, but just for shits and giggles look up end days scenarios and compare them to the ideas put forth by numerous religions. Rather creepy coincidences i'd say.

So in short these things are all fucked up, people killing people, and as if that stupidity weren't enough mother nature has to toss out some killers of her own.

Yeah i suppose.I understand and respect your points. The religious thing, honestly who knows.I mean some people despite their religion believe that Natural disasters are something from God towards us, saying he's pissed off.I 'm not so sure i believe that personally, but sometimes the timing of these things gets a bit freaky.

I mean for example, when Katrina hit the USA, some people in Pakistan were cheering with happiness saying ala did that to us, yet a few months later a massive earthquake hits them killing what...like 30,000 people or something.Things like this make you wonder and think about religious fate or bad karma depending on what you believe in i suppose.

Yeah, I pretty much believe in the book of Revelation, and all of this stuff, well not specifically, is mentioned in that book. It talks in the end times about natural disasters and rumors of war. Also the new kingdom, or the one world government, is supposed to be set up as the new Babylon. The weird thing is, Babylon is right where Iraq is today. And what do you know, they are becoming a democracy, and they have a shit load of oil, which means that they will also have a shit load of money. Mark my words, it might sound crazy now, but Iraq is going to become the center of the financial world. I also think that if the United States isn't careful, we're going to end up shooting ourselves in the foot even worse than we all ready have, and we might not be around that much longer.

As far as the terrorists are concerned. I view them as cowards. I think that anyone that can stoop low enough to kill even children in the name of Allah, is a yellow-bellied swine. I don't understand how human beings could be so heartless and so uncaring of other people's lives. Even in the name of religion.....and to think that God/Allah would want you to go around destroying people that he has created....ridiculous.

And the Bird Flu. I'm not really that concerned about this. If I get it, oh well..I'm sick all the time anyways, that might be the one to finally put me out of my misery. However, I do feel terrible for all of those people over in Asia that have been infected with it, it seems like all kinds of weird diseases start over there. I still have the feeling that the Illuminati is involved with a lot of the new "diseases" that have shown up over the past few years. I believe it could very well be biological warfare, simply created and used for population control. I am a very avid researcher of conspiracy theories BTW.

Well, that is my take on these issues, peace out.

Yeah, i heard stories about population control, but i don't want to believe it because it's insane if you think about it.But who knows LinkenPark.

I'm a firm believer that Allah and God are two entirely different people because i can't see God accepting what they believe in with killing innocent people and so forth.God is a being of good and light, NOT evil!

Provided the bird flu is a real threat then i'd say that, but i'm not convinced it is yet, so i'd have to go with natural disasters. Next march there's going to be a Cyclone hitting my very house, and it's going to be huge, devastating, and there's nothing I can do about it, even though it's about 5 or 6 months away.

MKF, the last thing you said about Allah and God being two entirely different entities is possible but unlikely in the sense that both christianity and islam stemmed from judaism which inturn stemmed from zoroastrianism the first known dualistic religion. It is even speculated that the three wisemen were told of at Jesus' birth were zoroastrians. And even more coincidental i'd say were the circumstances surrounding zoroasters birth. He was also born of a virgin, and with a bright star in the sky above him.

So my take is they are all one and the same, but people have interpreted them differently.
And again it isn't safe to say that muslims aren't the only people who've killed in the name of their God, christians during the crusades weren't much better at all. But again it is all speculation there is no way for any of us to proove to anyone else that our faith is undeniable and absolutely right. But none the less your points no matter how much i disagree with them are worth my respect to say the least.

People who go on like this is the worst shit ever and we're at the end of days and this is a horrible time to be alive and blah blah blah concern me MUCH more. There have been periods of history that have been worse than this. Crusades, the Inquisition, the bubonic plague, World War II, and the Cold War were all MUCH scarier times to live in than now.

We're not at the end of days, we're not in "The Book of Revelations". It's overreaction by an easily panicked culture.

It's human nature. It is indeed the end of times, until we're proven otherwise, which is usually by time itself.

The world is crumbling, but I'm still going to try and enjoy life for what it's worth. Waiting for them to terraform the moon or Mars, though.

All of them.
Well, not exactly. We're lucky we don't have 1, 2 and 3. We're used to hearing 2 is going to happen, but I'm confident we can still get up.
First off, I totally agree with Pretentious.

So basically you're saying that you are proved wrong every second of every day, yet you continue to believe time is ending. Wow.

Exactly, im sick of hearing "OMG THE APOCALYPSE IS HERE!!!!', disasters happen pretty much everyday yet people are acting as if its something new. Most people have different interpretations of the book of revalations so we won't know for sure until it actually happens, IF it ever does.

The world is incredibly vunerable. There's no way the scientists are prepared for a pandemic of Bird Flu, it's hit them hard how close the world is coming to a repeat of the Great Plague of 1665. Now they are rushing to get enough vaccines and just hoping that it doesn't break out into a full blown pandemic until they produce a cure. There's a load of viruses and bacteria out there that are undiscovered, any one of them could be the next Great Plague and if it happens, the world will not be prepared. That's quite a scary thought. Same as natural disasters and terrorist attacks. The world is unprepared for these kind of attacks. If you look at 9/11, it shocked the world. It was so sudden. That's because New York was unprepared for an attack of that scale. You can predict natural disasters, and can enforce measures to avoid them, (or not if your Bush) but sometimes they are so sudden that they end up killing thousands of people before they can be evacuated as was the case in the Asian Tsunami. Nobody was prepared for that.

So yeah, they're all concerns, but I'm not worrying about anything right now, I'm not screaming how we're all doomed, but if it happens it happens. But one thing that annoys me; every time I open a paper, I read "Asteroid heading to Earth", or "Bird Flu to kill millions, experts warn", or "Poisonous dye found in baby food". I swear I just want to rip the paper up and kill every last journalist out there, they make such a big deal of everything, half the time, everything they report is nothing more than sensationlised rubbish.

I don't want to get too political or anything but Katrina is not bush's fault, everyone even admits now that the Governer of Loisianna was at fault. He tried blaming it on Bush(big Shock) like all who hate him.The governer of Loisianna knew a week before time and did nothing.I have two friends and one relative down there and they all told me that their governer is a dumbass.I'm surprised Bush isn't getting blamed for this Bird Flu.

Anyway, i'll get off that, but Supertim and majin interesting theories which i will always respect, we all have our opinions and views. It sounds interesting though. There is also another theory that i'm sure you guys have heard of, that God and the Devil are the same person deceiving everyone. But i DON'T believe this based on what i believe in.

There is also sure beliefs that God and the Devil DO exist, because there has to be a balance in life, with everything.Young and old, male and female, Day and night, Good and Bad, skinny and fat etc.

This is getting interesting.smile Toxik, lol, i like the Smallville writing across the sig, nothing else man lmao.See you in the Smallville thread buddy.

Major mistakes in you guys's arguments:

About 73,000 died in Pakistan, not 30,000

If God does exist (which I think he does) it is the same god that the Muslims worship, there aren't two different gods (or entities)

And third, I really disagree that the mayor of Luisiana is to blame. Because only the Federal government has reping power to bring in supplies and the military and so forth. The governor can only yell "Help Help!" and thats about it. He can only run the city's business, because every public official has they're own powers, and they dont want to share it with the next politician.

Hey Y'all! The bird flu is so similar to the plague it isn't even funny. See it's spreading all over europe slowly infecing every one, becoming a wide spread panic?

On topic nothing concerns me more then me trying to get a boyfriend at my school. I don't have any body & I am so single cheese tells me I need a life.

If you talk to cheese I think you need a psychiatrist more than you need a boyfriend.

P.S. Does mkflegend making another thread count as a natural disaster?
