Update (7/27/06)

Hey, You can now play a demo of the fighting engine portion of the game. It it now where near complete, but it lets you guys get an idea of where im taking it to, and leaves you guys to give suggestions on what you guys would look cool in the game. Any moves you wish u could have done in Mk2, plz tell me and it might make it into the game. I want to just build off of the Mk2 engine, and make it better, if possible lol. So far Lui Kang doesnt attack u, but will just walk every now and then. I will add AI when i get around to it ofcoarse. All the programming is pretty complicated, and im still learning and thats the one of the main purposes of me making this game. PLZ share ur ideas, i dont know everything. Im looking for as many creative and open minded people to help make this game the best it can be. Even if u dont have any ideas, plz leave feedback, dont be rude by plaing n runnin, iv spent a lot of time on this. THX for looking, check back for more updates!

Maybe the Kreate-A-Fatality might be better than what I expected since I enjoyed the Flash Demo so much

Looks great so far. One of my fav ones to do is nutcracker, axe kick their head off, torso rip, then uppercut the legs away. smile

My favourite sequence is to do a crouch uppercut to decapitate them and to then do a split punch to knock the body down. Looks really cool!

Like I noted though; having no sound is a downer.
Another thing I noticed apart from the obvious fault of having no sound, is that the hit detection seems a bit iffy.

Those of u who wanted to help ill pm u. As for the game, i do plan on putting sound in it of coarse so dont worry. I just finished putting cages shadow kick and elbow into the game, im also planning on putting jumping and pick-ups into the next release. Ill let u guys know what i post it. Glad ppl like this demo, cuz u guys aint seen nuttin smile

The uppercut/splits punch combo doesn't work anymore. The shadow moves are good though.

Well I'll give you props for even trying to take on this massive project. I just don't see how you're gonna be able to adequately complete it without an army of bug testers and coders. You got the basic structure and idea in there nicely but it's not any fun at the current stage.

Two major problems you should fix asap before adding more content is the low framerate and the playable character not turning 180 when he passes his opponent.

This is awsome! I can just imagine how the finished product is gonna be. Take your time on each character. This will be a great game. I hope you make it so you can pick the body up, so combos are longer.

I see you added more characters- Jade, Smoke, Noob, Kintaro and Skarlett. Very interesting. This game is really enjoyable and fun. Keep it up!glasses

I have few suggestions.

1Kitana should have a kiss of death move that blows the opponent's head off.

2.Try looking for a sprite where there is a whole in the enemies back. If you find one it can be used for Kitana. She can levetate the opponent, then dive punch right through them.

3.You need the 180 turn

4.With Baraka I have a crazy idea. Find a sprite of the opponent's head. With baraka you uppercut the head off, and he sticks his claws up using the MK2 fatality sprite. The opponent's head lands on the claw and Baraka continues to fight.


That's about it.

Try switching who the victim is. I'm starting to get tired of seeing Reptile get tortured
