I have an idea i bet yall think its stupid but i don't. Notice Rayden on MK:D had less patience and went kinda psycho... this is his first step towards hating the elder gods then Shinnok as well hated them Shinnok is Smart he will come up with a plan and he and Rayden will see eye to eye that The elder gods are against them Rayden will see why shinnok did it in the first place and they will combine forces and take down the elder gods. most likely from there they will find Fujin and perhaps Rayden will have the advantage on both ends because we all know he is willing to kill shinnok to protect earth realm after they kill the uncaring elder gods then Rayden will probably most likely side with Fujin but after Fujin saw what Rayden had done Fujin will face them both and there will be a 3 way battle. From there however i am lost and have no more story except that the point made was that Shinnok and Rayden will build an alliance that is against the elder gods.

seems like a mcdonalds commerical ( it could happen ) but im sure will have to wait to see the last story and whos the last boss

Could Happen, Dont think it will happen but its a good thought. I mean they are both Gods or used to be, Shinnok being a fallen elder god.

But why do people think that Raiden hates the Elder Gods so much that he would actually wage war against them? I mean come on they are elderly citizens give them a break.

You know, Shinnok and Raiden just might join together if the mortals getting on Raiden's nerves. I hope they do; it would be so cool to see Raiden go evil on them!

What's with all the good and evil alliances? If they all join forces, who are they gonna fight? I can tell Raiden really hates Shinnok and no alliance would ever be formed between them. I want Raiden to kill Shinnok and get revenge for the elder gods.

I ment Rayden goes nuts if I went nuts and i had an enemy but the eldergods were my bigger enemy id kick there asses fist then worry about my other enemy who i would join forces with and kill later. its a win win situation Rayden is smart not dumb and also he is going crazy. I would to after defending the earth for years on end and not even being permitted anything or helped or even thanked id kill them all. like anikian did to all the Jedi its a re-occuring theme in a diffrent story.

This is actually a concept that would fit with mine. The end of the elder gods is something that I see destined to be in MKA. Raiden someway would have to destroy them, but with the help of Shinnock, probably not. The idea of two mortal enemies to stop a bigger threat has partly been done in Mortal Kombat Deception, in the opening sequence. The Deadly Alliance and Raiden team up to try and stop Onaga. So that has been done. No need for it to be done again really.

Now since Raiden and Shinnock are both really powerful and somewhat equally matched in strength, I think it would be enough to destroy the elder gods, but the thing isn't a matter of if they are strong enough. It is a matter of what they decide to do: Which is most likely that they won't team up.

What would happen if he killed the Elder Gods though? They are the ones who created the realms after all. What if destroying them destroys the realms at it too? That would be almost as bad if Raiden just decided to let Onaga have his way and combine the Komidogu.

Nothing would change besides the carelessness of the elder gods. The elder gods created Mortal Kombat, without the elder gods, Mortal Kombat will still be there! It won't go away people.

First off, Raiden isn't insane. Just really pissed off against humans who keep screwing up.

Second, why would he hate the Elder Gods? Raiden isn't stupid.

Third, Raiden and Shinnok fought for ages, and nearly wiped out a civilization. No way they'd team up.

We never know what is going to happen next in Mortal Kombat. But I kinda see where topic creator is coming from. Moreless Raiden's anger toward the mortals "might" consume him. He then would not be thinking clearly( blinded by this anger) and one little thing the Elder Gods say or do might set him off and he go off the deep end, and turn on everthing that he has fought for.

Think about it. It isn't an impossibilty, it happens everyday in real life.(Good people going bad because of something that has made them angry and they are blinded by this anger.)
